Hey all. I finally finished my 4lbs of Bullseye and had some great success. Found 2 good loads with BE for .40S&W:
1) 3.8gr's BE under a 180gr bullet and an OAL of 1.130"
2) 4.8gr's BE under a 180gr bullet and an OAL of 1.127"
Now I'm trying one of Koski's recipes:
- 5.6gr's UNIQUE under a 180gr FMJ bullet and an OAL of 1.125"
I'll let you all know how it comes out!
Later!

I have shot 3.8gr of BE under a 180gr Cast Bullet for a while....Very nice shooter.
I also like 3.8gr of Unique under the Same Bullet.
Or...4.4gr of WSF under Same Said Bullet..
All Made 750ish over the Chrono....Drops the Brass by the Ankle..

3.5 Titegroup gets about the same velocity. Runs on the factory spring and is lots of fun to shoot.

yeah...everyone who tried the BE load loves it. Great soft shooter. Haven't chrono'd but with your estimate of 750ish it would be fine for IDPA.

Hey all...just shot 50 rounds of Koski's recipe. 5 rounds, slow fire at 35 feet had them in about 2". Recoil wasn't so bad and I have all my fingers still a wigglin'!
Will crank out a few hundred more and use these for some local competitions.
Thanks Koski!!!! :)

I never knew that he had a .40 load outside of the 165 grainer over 6.5 grain Unique, which by the way rocks so much that it sucks.

Yeah, 165's over 6.5 is a sweetie pie too. 180's over anything from about 5.5 to 6.1 make me smile.
Glad you liked it Z!

You got that right, Unique sucks in every form.

So you suggest....??? (aside from dumping the .40 all-together, I know you don't like the round much) :)

Though it may not be the newest or best powder out there, Unique tends to be my standard powder for the majority of my loads. There are a few calibers that I load that may get different powders on occasion, but I don't load them as much as I do my Unique loads.
