He's gonna use it to hunt democRATS. I already have 3 more builds planned, so I gotta start collecting receivers before November.

They allow them things in MD?

Now, you need a DIAS.

make you up one of these varmint guns.... the barrel and pod push the weight up to an official "heavy as shiite" reading.

24" bull 1x9 stainless, handles 50 g up to 69 really well, haven't gone heavier.

Need to upgrade the scope but to what?

I plan on doing pretty much the same thing with my next build as you have there, cept for a magpul stock and a higher power scope. Then I want to build my ninja rifle, and then a 6.8 in some configuration. Might also go for a 458 or 50 Beowulf.

In MD you can have them, just no mag bigger than 20 rds, and if you don't have a collectors license (just need a notary and I'll have one) you can only buy 1 receiver, or other regulated firearm per 30 days.

I'm just rattling your cage, MD does have some odd laws though. I was very surprised to learn MD is an NFA state though. Speaking of which, you still pressing on with the can?

That must be a state license, a Form 7 or Form 7CR doesn't require a notary.

The collector's thing is a state form. Allows you to buy as many firearms as you want, just have to go through the waiting period on each. Since I have a CR, they have to give it to me. The can is one of those things that I have to find a place to work on, which with my kinda unstable future after graduation, makes it a back burner kinda thing.

Thought you had a contact in a machine shop?

My step dad has some of the stuff needed, more than likely. I'd have to learn to use it though. Problem is, his shop is 3 hours away. No problem if I had weekends off. I haven't been home in 3 months, so really, unless I meet someone up here, can't do much work.

I know building one is cheaper, but at my local store you can get a .22 can for 490, which includes sales tax and the tax stamp. I might just do that, then get a .22 upper for the AR, a threaded barrel for the Buckmark, and maybe a new barrel for my 597. I don't really want one for my .45

That's a good price, who's the OEM?

Not really sure, but overheard the price when someone bought one the other day. Might look into it in a few months, but 500=most of the cost of my Garand. And well, I rather have a piece of history then a can.

Tiger...yeah the disease is very real, but it's also alot of fun. Don't bother with a 6.x caliber, build yourself an AR-10 instead!
