Any suggestions for the mullehttes when traveling in hostile to burka regions? So far, we are not finding any purses or packs capable of concealing an AKM and several spare magazines.

Sling it on your back and wear a loose shirt over it.
Might be a good idea to make sure the bayonet stays folded before you sit down though.

Smartcarry works great for gals, but if the gun is too big, they may come off like a tranny.

One of my favorite ladies carries a full size 1911 IWB with a loose top.
She's about five six and has no difficulty concealing or presenting.

Cornered Cat, Cornered Cat, Cornered Cat.

I have stopped trying to tell women how to be women, or wondering about their men.

Actually, I like the one with purple hair...

I just KNEW this thread was an excuse for revealing pics.

Apparently, I am still naive enough not to have suspected hairy dudes in thongs.

Thanks for contributing to my.........education.

I would NEVER recommend carrying in a purse or bag given where I live. Purse snatchings and muggings are all too common. Steal my purse with my pistol in it and I figure I'm down almost $1K considering cost of the purse and all the contents.

I carry my 19 and my 26 IWB. My 19 I put in a Galco WB226 model and my G26 has a clip that is attached to it. I bought it that way since the gun was used, but my SO sells this part at shows.

The only thing I recommend is The Cornered Cat.

I recommended a Galco Jackass once, and it worked out, sort of.

You can't practice with it at our range, and practice matters.

Gals tend to wear tighter fitting clothes and are less willing to make changes to their fashion to carry concealed. Purse carry is better than nothing but, Belle pointed out the tradeoff their. A good way to go, might be to carry the gun in the car, transfer to the purse and then keep in the desk during the day.

Smart Carry and Thunderwear are excellent choices. They conceal well with most wardrobe choices. You will need to ensure that you have your firearms finish's protected with a good rust preventative. Body sweat is really prevalent. And either does not wick away moisture very well.

Another good option is a bellyband . A vest is another choice. And the garter holster not the best choice because it dosnt allow for a quick deployment but an option none the less.

Peace

Steel Talon:coolgleamA:I've found that the Smartcarry does in fact keep moisture away from the gun. A bellyband on the other hand does NOTHING to keep moisture away.

YMMV

For me, it isn't an issue.

I cannot carry at work because I work at a hospital. If they catch you with a firearm here, even so much as in the parking lot, they'll fire you. Plus, it's against the law to bring a firearm into a hospital unless you're LE anyway. I carry a can of Fox Labs on me when I'm coming to and from the parking lot. It isn't much but it's better than nothing at all.

At my old job there were plenty of men who carried and none of us were too secretive about it. We did a lot of "road warrior" type of work fixing electronic timeclocks. Can't tell you how many times I got into salesmen's cars to find pistols out on the seat or sandwiched between the seat and the console.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you that can't carry in a hospital? Or is that just your employer's rule?

In the winter, I carry in a Jackass. I posted a pic over on GT earlier this week, not sure I'm up to posting it here too. LOL

I carry either a G26 or a G19/G23 in that, and I generally carry the G26 IWB during the warmer months.

Here in MI it is against the law, a banned location. It need not be posted.

Here in North Carolina, you cannot carry in an educational facility and some hospitals are also considered to be such! I wouldn't have ever thought about that but it is specifically taught in the CC class.

Even without 30.06 signs in Texas, CCW in a hospital is not a good idea:
46.03. PLACES WEAPONS PROHIBITED.
(1) on the physical premises of a school or
educational institution, any grounds or building on which an
activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being
conducted, or a passenger transportation vehicle of a school or
educational institution, whether the school or educational
institution is public or private, unless pursuant to written
regulations or written authorization of the institution;Odds of there being a school sponsored/educational activity going on are pretty damn high. Not to mention this:46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE
(4) on the premises of a hospital licensed under
Chapter 241, Health and Safety Code, or on the premises of a nursing
home licensed under Chapter 242, Health and Safety Code, unless the
license holder has written authorization of the hospital or nursing
home administration, as appropriate;Chapter 241 just being what makes the place a bona fide hospital. Unless you get permission, I wouldn't do it.
