In every bucket of ww's I've picked up there have been a few of what looks like some sort of powdered/granularized leadish looking stuff in roll tape form. Anybody try mixing this into the melt or is it just trash?

It looks more like coarse sand sized particles of lead or some other metal held together with a rubbery glue with a tape backing. It's very flexible.
Looks like it would smoke pretty good.

Do they actually recycle brake dust?
I think I'll make a garbage bag ballast out of them.

Take a few an melt seperately.
You can pick up a junk pan (not aluminum) at Goodwill or something like it to use so it won't affect your regular pot. Did I say pot ? Oh, my bad, just confused on which topic I was followin.
I mean melting container.
If it sucks, take it to da scrap man an see if they a give ya anythang for it. Cost somebody somewhere some money at some point, gotta be worth somethin ta somebody now, maybe, prolly.
Got a pic ?

You have stumbled across a very rare and expensive find........
Unobtainium in it's natural state.
I reccomend that you alloy the unobtamium with linotype to create Nitrillium alloy. You can then make uber cool tactical kick yo ass reloads.

no but it is often on the inside of wheels and is often on ww. When they throw the ww into the bucket it get knocked off into the bottom of the bucket. I work on all of my own vehicles and use to work for a local mechanic for a few years, so ive seen this alot
