So I boubht 4000 cases of once fired LC 223 brass from Widners. It said in the description that it was military crimped. http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=1373&dir=278|282|291|390
As I am loading it only about 1 in 30 have a really tight pocket. Some of the pockets are so loose I can hardly tell if I seated a primer.
Is this normal? What am I going to do with my new Super Swager 600?

Just to clarify, you ran them thru the swager and when you prime them the pockets seem loose?

No , they came this way. I did not even get to use the swager.

"Once fired" should really say "it's not new - so we don't know what the hell it is". Maybe already reloaded & swaged or reamed (a little aggressively?).
That's why I don't like rifle brass that I don't know the history of. :driving:

I'll give you $35 for it!

Could be that Widener's bought the brass from Scharch's, who had previously swaged the pockets and roll-sized the brass. At one time, Midway got all their once-fired brass from Scharch's.
