918V suggested this.
It arrived in 3 days.
It works.
I could have put $2 in metal and $5,000 in engineering hours and made something else, but this is better.

Yes, it was a pleasant surprise.
It is amazing how many one man gun suppliers there are in the US.
I was only using 45 auto rim brass in my 25-2, but now I can use 45acp brass.
S&W 25-2 45acp 230 gr FMJ 24 gr H110 1.4"
S&W 29-4 44mag 240 gr JHP 24 gr H110 1.6"
They kick the same.
and those lightning fast reloads!

Very nice tool. Sure is better than the cut-off golf club shaft and handle that I made for myself.

That mooner is even better than my homebuilt one (a little bit...)
However, I was given the best demooner in the world by the former owner of my 625. Three squeezes empties a full moon clip. Two at a time, Just like Chuck Schumer. ;)

My father's Indy Mac stock went from $250,000 down to $1,000 while I was supposed to be managing it.
Some in the family are criticizing me, but I blame Chuck.

Clark/918v--
As kind of an aside to a couple 45 ACP revolver threads here, "Handloader" this month has a half-decent article on loading the Auto-Rim cases for this application. Brian Pearce got into a little depth about how the more recent series of S&W 45 ACP/AR revolvers were chambered a bit differently from past examples, and the controversy that swirled at the factory about this engineering change. The upshot of the new process is that unsupported 45 ACP cartridges minus clips might not fire reliably in the new-series chamber profile.
This article's text caused me to wonder if the anomalies 918v noted on one of his revos might have been related to these changes.
It has been quite some time since I had a 45 ACP revolver, but another may find its way here after my move is complete. I do recall preferring the AR cases in the revo and the use if HKS speed loaders to the half-moon and 1/3 moon clips then available for use with the ACP cartridges.
Have either of you tried the polymer clips at all? Not sure I would use those in a defensive role, but for shooting paper or steel they would be all right if functional.

I haven't. They look real flimsy. But I may order a few to try out.

A couple members of Cast Boolits mentioned the polymer clips as being easy to insert and remove ammo/cases from, and that they are not prone to tweaking/bending like the metal clips can be.
The old Model 25-2 (1980 vintage) that I had was kinda loose dimensions-wise, with very shallow grooves running about .452" and throats at .455"-.456". .452" cast bullets were abysmal downrange, but .454" sizing on round-nose profiles like #452374 and #454190 did better work. SWCs were a waste of time regardless of sizing. After a couple years of its tempermental crap, down the road it went. The recent 625s seem to be better-built, from what I've read and heard so far.
Yup! My PC625's mike at .452" and my Montain Gun at .453". It is extremely accurate with the John Taffin load.

Good to hear, 918v.
Right now, I'd just like to have my reloading room back intact. It is about half-moved to the new place in Ridgecrest, and I can't wait until the move is completed. What a PITA.........the things I do for my wife's career development. The good news--it has a range twice as wide and 3X as deep as my old club in Redlands. Barring flash floods, it seems like a great place.
