Does anyone have a source for paper handgun targets? There used to be a couple of poleece supply houses that sold bulk targets at decent prices, their names escape my brain tonight.

Nice folks
I am biased though because I live just a few miles away.

I use to buy them from Dillon , the B-2 50ft slow fire are cheap . But it seems the shipping was high . The manufacture has a higher price that includes shipping ?

I like the clean .45 SWC holes in real targets , compared to copy paper targets . They may take my CRB card for that .

I just pick a spot on the backstop. Dead on every time. :animlol:

I also also use old t-shirts hung from an L-shaped target stand and aim for the heart.

A small coffee can hung about head eye with a larger one hung about 6" lower gives a nice reaction for self defense shooting.

Have had good dealings with www.americantargetcompany.com (http://www.americantargetcompany.com) out of Denver Co. You have to call their 800 # to order BUT their prices include shipping.

The CRB way!! Newspaper roll ends are free or very cheap and bright colored 2" grocery stickers are free if you persuade the manager you ain't gonna steal the store with the stickers. Works for me.

Here's some good ones that I use on a regular basis. Good for all kinds of stuff. If you can't find one in this collection, I don't know what to tell you.

The stickers are a good idea, but 2" grocery stickers? Around here, they use 3/4" stickers which I can get at the local office supply store for about $5 per thousand. At half a cent each, I wouldn't go through enough of them to try to talk the grocery store manager into giving them to me for free.

These are rolls of easily seen flourescent colors the checkers put on large items like 50 pound bags of dogfood, large packages of TP, 24 can boxes of Cola, etc. Walk out with a big sticker on the package, you ain't stole it. That type. For real.

Easy for old eyes to see 'em at 25. Even at 50.

I also have a big roll of the contractor type floor covering paper that I've used to eval loads with- precut big sheets, use address labels spaced out. Can put the whole thing up with 4 staples, take it down in one piece for eval at home.

The department I work for gets our qualification targets from targets.net (http://targets.net) I ended up buying some for practice. They have good prices and great customer service.

What's with the red-nut target? LOL, is this for ex-wives and other man-haters to practice with?

Here's a link to a webpage that has all kinds of targets you can download: http://www.reloadbench.com/pdf.html

I just download, print off a bunch and then staple the targets on a scrap piece of cardboard hung on the target carrier.

Cheap and economical. If I stay late at work one night I can even save myself some printing expense! :yesnod:

If you have Microsoft Office on your computer you probably also have Microsoft Publisher installed. It is a great program to create or copy targets for printing yourself. As an example, here is the target I shoot at for 100 yards and one I did for pistol for fun. They have been converted from .pub to .jpg for display.

I have purchased a couple of very large boxes of 12x18 heavy paper from a local paper supply store that they were discounting to get rid of. I use that to print all my targets. The part I like is being able to adjust the target graphics to my preference.

cheapo paper plates!! It's the CRB way (I think).

The reloaders bench link I posted is good...especially if you print them off in your office. That's another CRB way. Just make sure it's late at night and you make sure to get the print-out's and don't leave them on the printer...folks will be eyeing you funny and avoiding you the next day if they know it's you who shoots. :)

Interesting scoring scheme on your pistol target. :skep:

bright spray paint ie rustoleum etc on stiff paper
when dry, paint kid's craft paint (ie fingerpaint) from Michaels over it.

the fingerpaint is brittle and will "shatter" to expose the bright paint underneath.
