I normally cast my own, but I'm starting to have some trouble finding lead. I figured between the cost and casting, its about the same to just buy them. Could we start a sticky of all the cast bullets websites?

Those are good sites, but yeah, I was looking for sites to buy. Sorry for the confusion.

Turn in your CRB card. yammer isn't too far from you, why not support him? He's got his FFL 06 so it's all legal like.

I think I got this off of GTR about 6 months ago. Its the cheapest I've found. Haven't bought anything from them, so I don't know anything about them.

Have read mixed reviews on other forums. Some pics of "patterns" rather than groups, but could very well be the guy is just a poor shot.

Unlike most of us, yammer is busy being a grammer nazi, he should check in later.
Or hit him up with a PM or email. PM me if you need his email.

I'm not a very consistent producer, as I am getting into this much slower than I have seen others get successfully started. My goal is to make sure I don’t over-promise and underperform. I am just starting to get my tools to work like they should. Last weekend was the first time in four months that my caster has actually been in one piece and working. My first run of the year was in 45-70 last weekend, and things seem to be working as designed. How long this will last is uncertain.
I have just started to think about real production and pricing; however, I really doubt I will be close to competitive with that gent on marlinowners.com. He may very well be the best way for you to go, if he is starting to catch up with his backlog.
I intend to be really into this by summer, when I will have more time. Also, my current lead supply sucks too.
Now that I have all of those disclaimers up and have set expectations as low as possible I will add that if you send me a pm with what you are looking for I will be happy to let you know what I can do and how much I will do it for.

I think I've posted this before--certainly on GTR, possibly here--but for those who missed it previously, here goes--
WITHOUT DOUBT, the most important element in conventional cast bullet success is fit of the bullet to the throat and barrel it is being fired in. All the metallurgy on earth and the world's best bullet lube don't mean JACK if the bullet doesn't fit. It is probable that some commercial bullets have gotten a bad rap because their conventional sizing bumped into an unconventional (oversized) barrel environment, propellant gas blow-by eroded and plated the bore with bullet metal, and before long someone's 45 was bushed down to 41 caliber. Gotta mine the lead, then start over with a bullet that fits.
The barrel of a firearm is best thought of in the context of the cylinder wall of a piston engine. The bullet drive bands are the piston rings, and the bullet lube is a lot like motor oil. The drive bands/piston rings GOTTA FIT, or things run poorly. The Lube/Oil both lubricates & sets up an ablative barrier between the piston/bullet and cylinder/barrel, AND helps form the best possible gas seal to contain burning fuel/propellant gases.
Pour yer own, or go commersh--they gotta fit. Otherwise, yer wasting powder and primers.

I don't think I saw my favorite cast bullets. John is a farmer near the Mississippi River on the Iowa side. He produces some fantastic cast bullets. I've tried is with great results.

It aint that big of a deal to cast bullets.
By a cheapo Lee lead pot and a Lee bullet mold and get after it.
Once you do that, you'll accumulate more and more molds. Its cheap and allows you to shoot more.
Besides that, the shipping on lead bullets will kill you. The little suckers are heavy !
