got everything together ready to load a few rounds up , the ? is what is your OAL on the whisper round going thru the M1S AR, I bought one box of cor-bon just to see their OAL and it was 2.215 , have seen some recommend 2.160 , where are you at HG ? thanks , the next time you hear from me I hope to be showing pics of my new toy , thanks for all your help.

The best thing to do is to load a dummy round, load it with no powder, no primer.

With tension on the neck insert your bullet in it and leave it long. Now chamber the bullet. When you chamber it, ease back the charging handle and then ease it forward, dont let it go or it will slam the bullet into the chamber and it will stick in the rifleling and you'll have to get a rod to knock it out.

What you are trying to do is to get the bullet to seat itself on the rifling. This will give you an idea of the length of the throat. Take the bullet out and measure it, and then reseat the bullet at about .010 deeper into the case.

If you do this, and the bullet still fits through the magazine, this is where you will achieve your best accuracy.

I could tell you the overall length of my bullet, but it wouldnt do you any good at all if your chamber was shorter or longer than mine.

Of course if it dosent fit though a magazine, you must shorten it until it does and it needs to be short enought that it doesnt hang it the magazine. If you get lucky, you bullet can be seated long and fit though the mag and still have reliable feeding.

Actually, as much as I sweat down here in the humid summers, Kydex is about the only thing the keeps my guns from rusting up. Leather absorbs the sweat.
