I broke down and bought a set of Hornady dies in .40 for my LnL so I could use the last position, and the friggin thing hits the ejector wire!! Why?!?

Anybody else had this happen?

Cuz you haven't custom ground it yet.

Seriously, I have no clue, but seem to remember some LNL owners doing some gyrations with a grinder to get it to work.

'Cause it's not

THE FINEST RELOADER MADE!!!

A call to Hornady might solve everything. Or one of the LNL guys will be along shortly.

I don't run Hornady dies, however, I understand the Hornady crimp die is shorter to avoid this problem.

Yup , you need to shorten the crimp or go deeper on the others . If you haven't already noticed some dies almost run out of thread to set them up properly . The Dillon dies are made for this type of setup .

Another tip , on a new setup only run 3 cases through at a time . This way you can watch them all get past the prime station , you wont have to guess where or if you have a sizing -seating - priming problem .

Have a bright light over the loaded cases before seating the bullet . I pull the last 3 rounds if I have a crushed case or binding where I could have double stroked the lever without case rotation on the shell plate. The BIG plus to an LNL is being able to pull a case at any station instantly .

CAUSE YOU'RE WRONG!!

Just called Hornady, they said the die might be old inventory (I DID buy it off eBay), which do not clear the LnL so-

THEY ARE SENDING ME ONE TODAY FOR FREE!! :patriot:

Now THAT's service...

Very cool.

And I was poking fun at Lee. I've got my 550B set up and I don't miss the LoadMaster (what Lee calls "The Finest Reloader Made").

There are red presses, and then there are red presses. Nobody messes with the LM.

Looking forward to checking it out!

How does titanium nitride compare to carbide? Anybody tried both?

Better? Same?

Oh yeah, cheap S.O.B. I bought these dies from switched crappy Lee lock rings onto them and took the good split rings the dies come with... :incazzato:

Hmmm...I like real carbide better. I've got both, use both, both are fine, but carbide is just "that much" smoother to me. Probably all mental anyway.
