Ok, my book say I can do it with a 115 grain 9mm JHP with 8.5 grains of Blue Dot.

This is the Speer book, by the way.

Is this an efficient load as far as powder to power ratio goes?

Also, is that pretty stout load out of a G19?

Any better recipes to push 115 grain JHP to 1250 out of a 4.02 inch G19 barrel?

Not only possible but easy.

Check out the data for Powerpistol.

You can also do it with WSF but with loads higher than listed max. The Winchester data is conservative.

I'm doing 1250 with 124's when I want too with either.

Work all your loads up slowly in your guns..

If I can get 1180 fps 158 gr from a .380, you can get 1250 115 gr from a 9x19.

It doesn't mean that your bones, nerves, or pistol will like the recoil.

You can easily push 9mm 115 gr into the 1500-1600 fps territory for the 9mm open gun games.

I like Silhouette for 9mm Major. I'll defer to Clark for data, he's the man when it comes to hotrodding loads.

Factory WWB out of my G19 is about 1260fps.

A 115gr bullet @ 1250fps is pretty much factory norm. It can be done easily w/ several powders. I like Unique, but WSF & Universal also work well. The BD load is fine too, but muzzle flash is severe.
