View Full Version : Pulling Bullets
i have maybe 2000 rounds of GAP i want to get the bullets to reuse then sell the brass. never used a collet puller and not sure it'd work on the conicalFP bullets. what would be the best way to salvage the bullets?

For 2000 rounds I would definately use a collet type puller over a kinetic. I have the RCBS puller I use on my single stage. I have pulled most bullet profiles without any problems. I pulled 200 rounds with it last weekend, wouldn't want to think about pulling 2000, yuck.

why not just sell the loaded ammo and be done - some GAP shooter such as myself would take them off you hands.

it's all mixed, mostly light loads and some super light loads for a GAP race gun. i doubt most would cycle in a stock gun.

If it is ammo you loaded I would not sell it.
I have used the RCBS collet pullers with very good success and been surprised at what they would grab. Only way to when you have that many to pull.

ede,
Unless you have a buyer in mind already, you might check with mscott to see if he might be interested. He is located around the Newark area...with his Glock open gun in 357sig
2,000 is a lot. But, I've done quite a few hundred at a sit-down with the hammer puller. Like most things, you get a feel for it pretty quick and you can knock some out at a pretty good pace.
Kyle it's good to see you made it here. it looks like i might make the action pistol match next weekend after all.

people like Koski love the GAP for what it represents.

I saw they moved your GSSF match again at Blackwing.
(and I just realized that I was posting about 357sig, and this thread was talking about 45GAP) :yikes:
