Mold guide under casting pot.

So I'm thinking about adding some rails under the spout of my casting pot to rest the mold on. I'm thinking this would not only help with fatigue, but also improve consistency. Any thoughts?

Might just try a piece of wood or something to support the mold. Something that wont conduct the heat away.

Try for 1/2" to 1" from the spout to the mold. The greater the distance the greater the pressure;..... to a point
