Just a simple question..lead is dropping along with gas...do ya'll think gas will drop and then suddenely go back to near $4 a gallon? I'm just waiting for bullets to start dropping as that is what I am in dire need for right now.

They start going down as soon as they leave the barrel. Physics.

Depends on whether you're in a vacuum w/ or w/o gravity.

ISUSteve
10-14-2008, 09:19 PM
I don't think I'd like to be in a vacuum, too much dirt and hair.

MakeMineaP99

Use a SCBA.

A, that's why showers were invented.

ISUSteve
10-14-2008, 09:25 PM
They don't have showers in vacuums. Just filters and lint bags.

There's no such thing as gravity, the earth just sucks.

MakeMineaP99

Hmm, interesting question, does Newton agree with you?

I'm reminded of the Universal Law of Gravitation:

F(g)=G[(m1m2)/r^2]

Dan, would you happen to know of a place where there is no gravity?

Isn't the next phrase "if women can survive, they may thrive"? I don't recall and I think a google search would be cheating.

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do, or say
Is in the pill you took today

In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to do
Nobody's gonna look at you

In the year 5555
Your arms are hanging limp at your sides
Your legs not nothing to do
Some machine is doing that for you

In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long black tube

In the year 7510
If God's a-comin' he ought to make it by then
Maybe he'll look around himself and say
Guess it's time for the Judgement day

In the year 8510
God's gonna shake his mighty head
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down and start again

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man's gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing

Now it's been 10,000 years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what he never knew
Now man's reign is through
But through the eternal night
The twinkling of starlight
So very far away
Maybe it's only yesterday

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do or say
Is in the pill you took today ....(fading

Coppers down by a 3rd just in the last month or two also. The price will stay where the market will bare, we just gotta' do our part.
Make the demand go down, cast our own and such.

But then lead goes up. Of course if Cohutt opened his "mine" lead might be worth $.02 lb. Cohutt, wait till I sell some of my stash this weekend.:)

cohutt and ANeat are the Hunt Brothers of lead. Capt. Toyota knows things too.

Hunt Bros., that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

Oreo,

I know of several places, one is paper, I can make paper do/say whatever I put on it. Second the vacuum of space. Third is the domain that I'll call "No gravity" that I transformed from the real domain to (and back again if needed). Similar to the phaser domain in circuit analysis.

What?!? You mean that JJB didn't do all that from memory? I'm crushed. Sigh. An icon, gone. Another one bites the dust.

I'll skip the obvious silliness of the first and third ones, but there is still gravity in the vacuum of space.

i saw a pretty gal selling some in cast boolits here a minute ago.

Assumption, remove all matter from space.

Also, transformation from one domain to the other is a proven solution technique, even used a Laplace transform?

I'm working on my lead reserves..I'm talking specifically about jacketed bullets.

But besides destroying all life, that would require folks here to give up their lead stashes. Bad assumption. :43:

PM got more lead than cohutta boy ? :yikes:

PM my new hero now ;)

I thank we oughta have a throw down. Weights and pics, winner take all.

Any kinda lead, ww's, lino, mono, pure whatever. If it a melt, it qualifies.

I still thank ANeat an Yammer got a sizeable entry, they jus low profile about it.

How about it, lets have a throw down.

Pics an weights.

Personally, I think da Cap'n got da most lead. What I remember seeing was six 30 gallon drums a ww's. My cipher says that's around 3 tons.

So, you're leading seeing who is in the lead being in the lead. That's a good lead role for you. You know, though, some people around here might get a bit carried away with something like this so you might have to keep them on a tight lead.

Yeah, but dats only 30 buckets worth. Lotta folks got dat much, cohutt got 10 times dat much free, an PM got even more.

I wanna see da biggest lead stash on GP

We need ta either confirm cohutt as King, or throw him off a PM's throne.

Rest of us a jus stay up on da porch playin wit da puppies an shine some shoes

This is most of my pure lead stash. Most of the lead below is sheets and strips rolled up and stacked. Some of the pieces on the left are 3/8" in thick. The rest is 1/4". I weighed out 512 lbs today. I suspect there is another 700 lbs left plus the stuff listed below the pictures.

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/bdcbbq/Lead1016002.jpg

I also have a milk crate full of muffin tin ingots of range lead (306 lbs), a plastic gallon jug of WW ingots, 2 boxes about 25 lbs each of x-ray film (corner of bottom picture), 2 boxes of pure scrap pieces (50 lbs each), 20 lbs of scrap in the basement (fishing weights, range scrap bullets, WW), and 50 lbs of monotype.

I am not going to pile it all up in the driveway to weigh and photo. My estimate is 1700-1800 lbs, give or take a 100 lbs.
