True, I've found that they resize lead and plated boolits to small ****e canning accuracy and causing more leadin'. But for you new reloaders who haven't discovered yet, or you other geezers who just ain't crossed the thought yet, there are many other uses for them Lee factory Crimp dies in pistol cartrdges.
I been using them to resize my brass cuz for example, my 9mm LWD barrel for my G-35 been gettin' alot of failure to feed cuz the bottom of the case ain't been touched that much by me RCBS carbide resizer. It's an extra step, but LFC really does a wonder on it cuz them LWD chambers is tight.
Also, to save time on die swappin/changing I been screwin' the LFC down all the way so's when I do ccrimp revolver cratridges, or auto cart. when I need to, I just need a light tap on the crimp and don't ever put the whole cartridge through to be resized while crimpin'. Sure some already know this. Just thought I'd post it ciz I don't recall seein' posted before.

I won't ever get rid of my LFCDs. I've got one for every pistol caliber I shoot! Sure, I won't use them on swaged and plated bullets, but hard cast loads havn't been affected so I continue to use them for HC and jacketed.

Good thought, Chewy!

So are you saying that you can still crimp (lets say 9mm) while reloading Lead Bullets with out sizing the bullet? It would seem even if you set the die high and then turn the crimp really low you would still get sizing from the carbide sizer. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Naw, you got it. Explained better than I did in fact. I don't pulled the press arm all the way down. In fact, with me' 9mm WW cast boolits, I just barely nudge the press arm down and one can "feel" it ever so slightly taper crimppin' it a wee bit. I been usin' a very slight bell though and don't need to crimp, but i wanted to play around with the idea anyway.
