So after breaking the trigger pin I ordered a new locking block per suggestions from you guys.
It's waaaay different from the old one. Old one in back, new one in front:

Old one in gun:

New one in gun:

The new locking block has an additional tab that fits down into a groove in the frame. Is this and update? Did I get the wrong locking block? It seems to fit and work ok (I haven't fired it yet).
Thanks,
Koski

I think they've shipped you the OLD STYLE (http://glockmeister.com/product_info.php?cPath=10&products_id=248) part, the one in my new G-35 looks exactly like your "old" one.

Oh mercy. Can anyone confirm this? My fairly new G22 has the long snout also...
I'd call Charlie Vanek for a definitive answer.
I had a similar question a while back and he cleared it up for me.

Koski, you have bad luck. Broken pin and now the obsoleted locking block?
I wonder if Glock made the change because of design issues or ease of manufacture.

Hi,
I wouldn't shoot it with that block, it sure doesn't look right. Where did you order it from? I always use www.glockparts.com (http://www.glockparts.com) and get my order in the mailbox two days later.
Good luck,
Alan

I've only seen blocks like those in older, 2-pin models...no Generation III pistols. If you got it from a dealer, these are not things that fly out the doors, probably old stock or just a mix-up since there are at least two different versions as well as several different parts for various models. Who knows though, they may have changed them again. Shucks, just call Glock and give them the Make/Model/Serial#...they'll send you one for free.

It's a hassle - but I'd bet they'll exchange them for you.

Steve, call Glockparts by phone and speak to Dave Humke, (303) 903-5465. He's a super guy that pretty well knows his stuff and will be able to definitively answer your questions. Should he not be in he's always called me back ASAP by leaving info with (I think) his wife.

Yep, you're right. I just looked at this screen:
http://glockparts.com/store/category/62nf/Locking_Blocks.html
and figured that part was just for the G17. But when you click on it the description broadens.
Thanks JL!!!
I'll mail it back tomorrow with a note to exchange it.
Thanks Doc, Alan, Jon, & everyone.
Koski, maybe you ought to have someone explain the voting ballot to you this Nov. since your eyes are going. :biggrinjester:

Lend a man a Glock, he'll shoot for a day - Give him an armorer's tool, he'll tinker for a lifetime.

Yeah, finally got the right part. The old locking block was bad. The new one is better. I think the pin breaking will stop.
