Reading online about them, lots of old (2002 vintage) articles. 12" barrel Taurus , 8 shot, etc, what's cool now a days?

edit
maybe I should have posted under "Revolvers" , sure was easier when all we had was reloading

Nope, but have given it some serious thought. I lean more toward the Ruger Single-Six, but double-action wouldn't scare me none.

Ammo prices - that's another story. :yikes:

I've kind of gone on a Ruger "binge" lately, acquiring (at decent prices, of course) a .32 H&R Mag Single Six, .41 Mag Blackhawk, and a SS .44 Mag Super BH Bisley Hunter. That last one wasn't planned, but jumped off the table at me at the gun show last weekend. It's a hoot to shoot, too.

Okay, am I blind? Can't find a single shooting/reloading related smiley here? What the heck kinda' board IS this, anyway? :rolleyes5:

yeah I have a taurus 17 hmr tracker with an aimpoint on top I use it as a snake charmer at the farm, works great, but man is that thing LOUD, ammo is outragous but I have been steady buying the last 4-5 years, also have ruger model 96 and a savage LH 93 in the 17hmr, like the long distance squirrel shooting especially with the savage

I was always curious how a revolver would handle a real point bullet from a shouldered case, but apparently ok. At the range a few times I have seen them being shot and they definately are loud for what they are.

Well then, I should update you and let you know I've also acquired a 5.5" Stainless SBH - practically brand new - in a trade. I've become a Ruger magnate!!! Or maybe it's "Ruger magNET." Something like that.... :coolgleamA:
