I confess that more than once I've had the powder bottle down, and the electronic scale warmed up since the "Grand Opening" of Glockpost.com and somehow I keep getting diverted away from the bench and back to the freekin' computer.

Anybody else?

Loaded a few hundred rounds of 10mm, few others. Gearing up to launch ammo sales, so I'm trying to get some stock on hand. Been sick the last few days, so not much gun stuff going on.

I been busier than shiite last week or so but managed to smelt 44 6 lb ingots and finish processing the berm ore to free it from the adobe bricks it dired into.

I've got a bunch of 45 to load for my new bullet hose but i'm resisting till i get a chance to try some different loads through it. Have a fe made up just haven't had time to tinker with it.

I absolutely love the 147-gr XTP. My fave 147-gr XTP load is 7.0-gr Accurate #7 over a WSP.

Damm, that is one accurate bullet, no matter what you drive it with.

Okay, I keep telling myself that I'm going to the reloading room to load some .357-Magnums.

Maybe some 158-gr Remington JSPs with 14.0-gr of 2400.

I'm gonna go now. :seeya: :leaving:

Well, maybeinaminnit... after i check the "New Posts" tab. :toetap05:

Aw, Crap. I keep getting sucked into the vortex!

I'm still learning about my Dillon 550 and after shooting of some "test" rounds, I loaded 150 .45 ACP's today. It's a little faster now that I am establishing a "system". Might try and load of .38's tomorrow.

I like the 147 XTP over 4.5 grains of #5 with CCI. But the pressures are too low and I get these teeny unburned powder kernels all over the gun's innards.

4.5 grains of Long Shot with CCI is also extremely accurate.

I loaded the ammo for my CCW course - and when I got back today popped the brass right into the tumbler with the brass from Friday's range visit - I'll probably reload it tomorrow after breakfast. Just another bunch of plinkers - 4.4gr of TG, WSP on 115gr 9mm - practically all I reload atm.

This evening I finally got around to loading (50) of the 147gr RCBS bullet cohutt sent a while back, that finally finish off the (100 or so he sent), and I loaded another (50) of the 147gr that ANeat sent me also,, still have (50) left, but appears I am out of CCI-500 small pistol primers... Those will all go through either the M11 or the AR 9mm.

I've been busy and trying to get my GD 9mm turret and dies to work. Problem is probably solved after a call to Lee.

Anyway, I loaded my first 10 rounds of .45 tonight. Going to shoot and chrongraph them in the morning. If they shoot nice I'll load some more this week.

I managed to load 1,500 .45 ACP's. Used up the last of my Hornady 230 XTP's. BTW, in the last box I found a 240gr, .452 for .45 Colt - just one. Anyway, now I'm trying to finish up my move & get my old house on the market - so no reloading or shooting for a bit.

I'm still trying to figure out if I should start casting. It looks like fun, but I gotta figure out how to make the time. :seeya:

Pitmaster,
That is absolutely the grossest avatar I've ever seen. I love it. Have it as a pic but haven't found a good reason to inflict it on anyone yet.

Maybe its Cohutt's avatar's bf.

What chrono do you have? I have a CED M2. We should do a chrono race when we shoot.

I don't load on Lee, but I'll try and help you when I'm in town the beginning of April. Even if I don't know anything else, I know how to reloading and shoot.

Yep, today I lube/sized some bullets and loaded 200 rounds of my favorite cartridge, .44 Special. Tomorrow it'll be .38 Special.

I have to admit that his 'site is mighty distracting!

I don't have one. A guy I'm going shooting with tomorrow is bringing his.

Regarding the Lee Problem: I bought the LCT Kit from Kempf in MC. When I tried to reload the bullets would seat way to far in the case. Got few to work but had problems. Posted around the web, a long time reloader came over and we worked on it for a couple of hours. Even starting over and reading the instructions. Thought it was a bad batch of bullets. Called Rainier they sent some bullets and a die. No go. Still didn't work. Called Lee again, explained problem again, he had me measure the expanding die. The nipple inside was for a .38 caliber but the die was marked 9mm. He's sending out a new die on Monday. I knew it wasn't me cause I helped set up the .45 and it worked.

I'm just learning the reloading and shooting.

I'll for sure bring the chrono out, better get doing some load development.

I assume Lee dies. I've run 9mm and .45 Lee dies in my LNL, but that's it. Never had an expander problem with the 9mm dies, sounds like the .38 expander was your problem.

I'm just learning long range reloading. It's a very humbling experience (like graduate school). Just when you think you know something, bam, you ain't got nothin'.

I lubed a few hundred bullets on Thursday night, and loaded them on Friday night, using a roller handle borrowed off of my brother in laws Dillon.

The roller handle is different, but I think I could get used to it.

No casting, and not a lot of reloading. Refilled some 30-06 and 30-30 WCF jacketed rounds a couple days back, but have been busy with brush-clearing and weed abatement much of this week. It snowed last night, mostly melted now--so today will be Reloading Day. Too mucky for yard/fieldwork.

Well, I just found out about GP today so I've been busy cleaning, resizing/decapping, trimming, and swaging over 5,000 .223 cases I picked up from our company range this week. I happened to stop by the range early on Tuesday and found that Denver LEOs were practicing their AR skills.

The range is not open currently to members during working hours, so they had it to themselves. As a community service, we let Denver SWAT use our range to practice for the DNC here in Denver in late August free of charge. We do that for all the local LEO dept's, the Colorado State Police, and groups like the Boy and Girl Scouts, NRA, etc., etc.

As a Defense Contractor, its good business to support the local law enforcement groups with use of our range. Besides, they have to leave their brass at the range and sometimes you strike a goldmine.

Not so much me, but theys been loadin goin on in da shop. Introduced Jtrade to da sickness last weekend. He loaded heself up about 50 9mm, goin nice 'n slow, observing operation, weighing, measuring, etc.

This weekend, wit da alien a visitin, we run through pointers on da 550, he loaded prolly ~120 40's fer me to try in my 22. Set errythang back up fer 45, and ran a few a those.

Yestiddy, I called Jtrade ta "come on down", so he and Shana did. He ran off about 120 9's this time. He gittin gooder 'n gooder. He a purdy good shooter too.

Got dat bucket a ww's to Fatdaddy, which merits casting related activity.

I been purdy puny since Friday, sinuses(pine pollen), jes hangin around snottin errywhere. Been a busy week fer me, both w/e's included.
