I went into the local Gander Mountain to get some primers and powder. They have a 20% sale going on. I asked for a 8# of Bullseye, and 5,000 Winchester primers. Sorry, none available.
Went to the Bemidji, MN store today. Same answer. The guy checked and couldn't find any in the system.

I went to the local GM the first day of the sale and asked about powder and primers. They brought me to the powder cabinet and opened it... And at that moment the story of Old Mother Hubbard came to mind.
They were also out of primers, so the 10 dollars off a purchase of 50 dollars or more card got yet another day of no use at GM lol
But you can still buy a sweater and socks, can't you?

I went to Gander Mt. for the first time (Huntsville) a few weeks ago, and wasn't impressed at all. Their guns were over priced, and what little reloading stuff they had was a little steep too.
I wish there was a Cabelas nearby.

I feel sorry for you guys, what with you not having a "Guns Galore" nearby.
No sales, no specials, just lots of inventory and everyday low prices.

The only thing I buy ar Gander Mtn is fishing stuff. All of their hunting/reloading stuff is way overpriced.

I have bought a few handguns there, they were overpriced, but I had giftcards to lessen the blow. I have bought most of my hunting clothes there over the last few years. You cannot beat their end of season clearance sales on hunting clothes.
Also, the one near me has a really good guy that runs their archery pro-shop. They do all of the work on my bow. I had my Hoyt restrung and cables replaced last year for around $50. The other shop in the area weanted $180!!

There is a Cabela's close by me. I still buy it from Midway. Last time I checked at Cabelas their powder was about $25 a pound. I can pay hazzard fees and shipping and still come out way ahead if I buy 8 or 10 lbs at a time. I take advantage of sales at Midway, They are like Sears and tools. If I dont buy it on sale it will be next week.:frown2:

Small world I lived in Waterford for 11 years now back where I went to school in Highland.....You have a hell of a commute.... Soory for the kind off topic guys....Any way I ran to Bass Pro shop to pick up some Ammo boxes and what a price gouging POS they are 39.90 per 1000 of CCI 300 primers.....OMG go down the road to the next sporting good and they are 23.00 for the same.....

If you havn't checked prices in Cabela's in a while, be careful what you wish for.. Their Winchester Primers are $30/K and they wanted $600 for a used Glock 21. I go in there and look around when I think I'm paying too much for reloading components and I end up feeling a lot better about everything.

The rest of the stuff was too high for me, and no 10mm! :incazzato:I wish there was a Cabelas nearby.I wish the Sportsman's Warehouse near me hadn't closed down. :(

An 8# container of Bullseye, on sale, would have been less than $100.00. Winchester primers, if available would have been about $22.00.
