I don't want to sound like Chicken Little here, but I've been cruising the various reloader web sites.
Midway is very low on primers, most brands. Also, they're out of stock of Unique in any size.
Graf has primers, but some are out of stock there too. And they're low on powder.
Midsouth is almost out of Unique, in fact they are out of 8 lb containers. Perhaps this is all temporary due to the coming coronation of the commie.
Still spooky to see all of those "out of stock" items.

I sure hope one year from now we can look back on this time and laugh about how we worried unnecessarily that the sky is falling.
I'm weighing the upcoming birthday of my bride, plus Christmas, and what I might be able to spend on reloading components before the new year.
Assuming, of course, that stuph is still available.

Jan. 21 an executive order will be signed banning the transport of firearms or ammunition in interstate commerce.
Sadly, I don't think this is a dream.

Ma on da sidelines there said we had ourselves an audience. :slick:

I got a local gunshop that has Cheddite 209 shotgun primers for $29/1000. Never used that brand, but shotgunworld.com says dey are good.
I'm gonna buy some this week.
Zero Bullet is 25-miles down the road. I should talk to them about some 9mm and 10mm bullets.

I'm think of stopping at Zero on the way home, I understand they give C&R discount.
I'm looking to get some shotgun primers myself, my last primer order was before I got the O/U. What's a good price these days?

WoW!
I just visited the Roze Dist web site and thay have dick as far as bullets listed in inventory. I hope they are sitting on a lot more than their web site suggests.
As far as 209 primers, http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ has Winchester 209s for $31 per 1k but the hazmat is a dealbuster for me since I only want a couple thousand. I can still get shotgun primers locally for $29-$33 per 1k plus tax.
i wish i'd known this earlier today when i ordered 1000$ worth of primers and powder.

An update:
Plenty of primers and powder available at a gun show I went to yesterday.
Of course, the primers are $28 per thousand, and powder is around $20 per lb.
At least the stuff is available. An aside, beaucoup ARs available too, none under $1000.00.
i've been to two guns shows in 7 days and saw more primers and powder than i've ever seen.

Hi,
I think it is the panic buying that is causing shortages.
Our new prez is going to have his hands FULL with many things that are much more important for him image wise to get handled. He probably will support some restrictions/bans on firearms, but I don't think they will happen right away. I seriously doubt an executive order of any type will be issued, why go that route when he and the congress can work together on another AWB. The question is, will the reps/senators forget the a$$whopping they took last time from the AWB#1 and make the same mistake twice?
Can't predict the future, but there are a ton of other issues I think will demand the dems attention first... I hope I am not wrong...
Thanks,
Alan

Alan -
I hope, pray, plead, and earnestly desire that you be right.
I'm hedging my bets, just in case. :slick:

If the past is anything like the future, the next NFA is coming.

Democrats gonna be too busy slappin each other on da back an primpin for camera shots ta do anything, and they sure as hell ain't gonna risk gettin booted at da next election.
Plus, they got a gold mine workin in da bailout scam, they not gonna get off that till it runs dry, which will be a while since they can fund it wit da 'stroke of a pen'.

Can a president be impeached for "Abuse of Executive Order"?
