That is all.
Had to post here. Such a easy to handle little piece. Fits my little hand just right, and I guess if there is anything bad I have to say, it is that the shells tend to fly out EVERYWHERE and they are HOT!!! :banghead: I have had at least one down my shirt (ouch!!) and a few on my bare feet (yeah I know, it was summer and I was in sandals!!)
Any other P-22 fans here?? :sifone:

How does it handle various ammo? I have heard they are one of the most picky .22s made and you might only find one or two that feed good through it. My rifle will feed anything that's not a truncated cone just as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Hiya Monte.......
it actually likes the Federal bulk box .22lr.......I have shot Remington bulk .22lr and it will jam on that. Very seldom does it jam on the Federal. Another reason why I love .22......the ammo is dirt cheap. 550 rounds at my local gun store for $9.99.
I have not tried the varmit ammo, but I have a couple boxes of it.......but someone told me that burns hotter. A guy at a local range south of town told me that varmit ammo will leave a hole the size of a .38 in the target, which makes me think it would do ok in a self defense situation. Yeah, I will be getting a larger caliber (possibly another Walther) by year's end. Maybe a .380.

My rifle looooooves the Federal bulk pack, and so do I cuz it's cheap! It will feed that, Remington Subsonics, Stingers, Velocitors (my fav) Golden Bullets and all the other round nose bullets no problemo, but the Yellow Jackets and Vipers jam like a sum bitch cuz of the bullet shape. These are being shot out of an old J.C. Higgins Model 31.

id pick up a Ported taurus 357 snub, then you can run 38's with as much recoil as a 380. just my opinon

I have one- all but 2 or 3 mags worth i have shot through it have been while the Gemtech Outback is on it.
it is pretty good with about any ammo as long as i don't let it get too gritty. With some of the match/subsonic stuff it gets finicky; remington subsonic is the best of the bunch, remington match is good, wolf match is very accurate but is kind of oily and has cycling issues with the grit after a couple mags.
Federal Auto Match somes in bulk boxes of 330 and was originally what i shot most of when i wanted to keep it fairly quiet before i found a good source of Rem subsonic.
All the "milk carton" stuff cycles ok, just a little more "crack" sometimes with the P22 and always more with the longer barreled Mk II i keep with it, which is why i tend to try and shoot the subsonic & match stuff. Fed and Rem better, Win not as consistent. Won't buy Win again if i can help it.

It is part of the rimfire fun case i tote to the range or about anywhere i want to shoot discreetly-

i ahd one and it was 100% reliable with anything i fed it. ended up selling it because i didn't like it for no good reason. i still have a s&w 41 and ruger mkIII target.

Cohutt, how quiet is that unit on the Ruger? What barrel in that? I'm jonesing for a can now! Let's see, the can, then I'll need a new pistol and a new rifle for it.. :)
Just as long as you stay the hell away from thunderbolts... pretty much all is good. Like cohutt stated, the subsonic and match ammos are when it gets picky. Not enough energy to sling shot the slide.
