I have a G23C and an aftermarket EFK non-ported barrel. I kind of like the idea of having a ported option when I want (OEM barrel) and then sometimes shoot the non-ported barrel (EFK). There is quite a big difference no matter what others may say. :sifone:

how do you plan on using it. For lead in a Glock, conversion?

Please, spare no details.

Well, it's important to pay attention to "what others may say." There's a noticable difference in a G23C with the factory ports and an extended, ported barrel. The factory ported barrels work a lot better @ mitigating muzzle flip.

I originally got the EFK barrel for two reasons (1) so I could shoot lead bullets and (2) because I was under the impresson it was better supported. However, since my G23C is a third generation, It's already pretty much support vs the older model Glocks. Consequently, if you compare the EFK with the Glock, I don't see any difference in the support around the complete casing. As stated earlier about the EFK being non-ported....the muzzle flip is a greater compared to the OEM ported barrel. If I was to put a percentage on it, I'd have to say honestly about 25% difference. EFK does make the "extended" ported barrel but I purposely wanted a non-ported so as I had mentioned.....best of both worlds...pick and choose what and how I wanted to shoot on any given day. I agree with another comment that a OEM Glock ported barrel would be much more efficient then an extended ported aftermarket barrell. Just looking at the receiver on the Glock would tell you so with the wide openings. Hope this helps. :sifone:

I got a KKM barrel for my M24C, primarily to have a non-comp option. The comp arrangement on the 24 blacks out the front sight after a few rounds, and in the long barrel, doesn't seem to provide as much anti-flip as with the shorter models. I think the KKM barrel is also a bit more accurate than my stock comp barrel, but not enough to make a difference in the shooting I do. The KKM barrel has been as reliable as stock.
As for caring about what people think, at least one must consider other views.....otherwise why bother to visit this or any other Internet forum?
