Buddy of mine is consolidating into 9mm & .45acp and had 4,300 rounds of .40S&W he no longer wanted (mix of UMC, Blazer aluminum case, Blazer brass). I had 700 rounds of 9mm I no longer wanted.

We linked up, swapped 700 9mm for 700 .40S&W and then I bought the other 3,600 rounds for.....$750! Works out to be $10.41/box....score!!!!

Gotta love shooting friends looking out for one another.....

Cool....
That might last ya MAYBE a season...lol

I think you should Flip those for a profit and Buy reloading supplies and have even MORE then 3600rds.

Whenever an event like that occurs in my life, I always say "Who else deserves it more than me?"

Then I assure myself that the answer is, "No one."

Great News!

Naaahhh not even a season if I practice. It does help though. Brings my number now to around:

7,000 factory rounds
5,400 reloads (boxed and ready to go)
13,000 heads waiting to be loaded

now THAT should last me a season (or two....) :sifone:

Is $10/box a good price for .40 factory stuff? I haven't kept up with current pricing. Seems expensive.

You can't find it for $10 a box.

Yeah, $10 SUCKS! $4 is more like it.

$4/box?

I'm reloading .45 at $25/1000.

Whatever happened to you shooting yourself if you had to buy factory ammo, was that just another idle promise we can't look forward to?

Thought it was melting down his guns into a spike to drive through his skull? Either way, he said he'd never do it.

Melted down spike or gun, either way there's no downside for us.

13,000 heads waiting to be loaded

:sifone:

Wow, flashback from the 60's. I read this as 13,000 heads waiting to get loaded....

I'm glad I don't buy ammo.

I try not to buy factory. Like I said...got 13,000 heads to reload. I originally bought 1,000 rounds just to have as a back up in case I needed some Major loads in a pinch. As deals came along...bank account went down. Now I'm back to just reloading.
