I think this has got to be the best trimmer on earth!

I bought it last year at Camp Perry after hearing about them for years. :treerat:

All it took was a demo by Doug and I was carrying one out under my arm.

I hadn't had much of a chance to put it through its paces until the last month or so. Conservatively, I can trim 1000 cases per hour.

I'm still sufferin from arthritis in my hands brought on by the Forster trimmer I used to use. 1000 cases on that thing took me a month or so.

If you reload lots of rifle cases, it is the only way to go.

No doubt the Senator from Utah tried to redeem a Lee coupon.

They definately are nice but if I'm going to lay that much cash out it'll be for a pistol a rifle or optics. I get by with my system of trimming.

Y'all need to turn in your CRB cards.

I'm usually a CRB, except when it comes to tools.

Kinda like my wife... well I guess she isn't a CRB, she wants to spend it like she's got it.

how does it work? Just preset it for a specific length and push a case in?

KCGunnr

Yup. kinda like an electric pencil sharpener.

It indexes from the case shoulder.

I make it. She spends it like she earned it.

I couldn't afford the lifestyle, so I just bought the bling.

Sometimes an expensive tool is worth the price to obtain the desired results. Thanks for the review.

However, a trimmer that costs as much as a complete AR lower (if you can find one in stock) requires a thoughtful evaluation. I think I will go with a lower cost tool and see if the results are what I will need. Got to keep up my CRB status.

most correct.. Do not do it with the zip trim lock it up into your drill or drill press...

Also the Possum Hollow Kwick trim from Sinclair

http://www.possumhollowproducts.com/kwick-case-trimmers.html

chucked into a drill is very nice trim option also.. With tool and holder about $30.00 however it is hard on your fingers for marathon sessions of brass trimming.

This is how I use it .. I bought a cheap varible drill w/reverse for 10 bucks. I made a simple 3 sided wooden stand to hold drill up right on my bench. So I lock the drills trigger on and go to town using both hands. Left /right L/R ..wash rinse repeat... Easy to do 500 an hour. +/- However do talke the time to set it up to trim length you desire. (easy to set)

Another suggestion is to use liberty4ever's (watch his video) trick on his how too trim with the RCBS trim mate station..( Its very cleaver and works well.) Anyway, since I had a RCBS trim-mate station and use the lee system. It was a no brainer for me to try it out and it does work quite well.

The only thing I diid was use LOC-TITE "GREEN" to set the Lee case holder LOCK STUD into hex driver.

Here is the Video

I tried the Lee thing. Spent more time handling cases and was hard on the hands.

You still have to deburr inside and out after trimming.

I tend to trim and reload 1000 cases at a time. The Giraud trims, deburrs inside and out, as well as chamfers the inside of the case for VLD bullets at the same time.

You guys just keep on using the Lee and Possum Hollow stuff. I'll be out shooting while you are still trimming.

The range isn't as crowded that way...
