grabbed some AA2460 to use with deez 62grn M855's I picked up.. don't see much data on it on the net. it's a tad bit slower than 2230. seems to be a good powder for 308 etc and decent for 223.
anybody use this combo? and did ya like the results?
figger i'd give it a try. it was all I could get (local stores are bout bare till after the 1st). waiting for my PVI order which should be here by next friday.

It works great with the M855 bullet. The best data I've found is 22.5 to 24.5 grains. I use Remington 7 1.2 or CCI #41 primers. The CCI 450 primers should work too.

I have some 7 1/2, 400's & Federals. wondered if it was necc to use mags with that. I have BL-C(2) which also shows using mags but it looks like its a bit on the fast side.
RR shows Accurate Arms listing 24.7 behind a 69grn at nearly 3,000 fps, seems pushing it a bit to me.
I bought the 855's for 150-200 yrd shots.

Accurate Arms shows 23.7 grains as max with a 69 grain SMK at 223 pressure and chamber and 24.7 grains with a 69 grain SMK at 5.56 pressure and chamber. One source says 25.0 grains max with 62 grain bullet. That is a lead core bullet but I know 24.5 grains with an M855 bullet is not too hot in my AR15.

From looking at the Accurate Arms data it looks like about one grain of powder makes the difference between 223 and 5.56.

thats good to know. I figured I'd start with 24 and then move to 24.5 with the 62gr if all looks well on the chrono and casings
