Hello everyone, new here and relatively to Glocks (had a couple in the past but nothing now). I'm starting the academy next week, so I'll be re-familiarizing myself with Glocks soon. I've been checking out some holsters for a G27 (eventual BUG and CCW choice), any recommendations? I am interested primarily in IWB and leaning towards Comp-Tac right now. I know Milt Sparks is highly sought after as well, but I'm not sure I want to spend the cash (although Comp-Tac is only about 20-40$ cheaper, depending on the model). Thanks for the info.

Oh my gosh my Basic Police School was 20 year's ago and I can't remember the number of holster's I've gone through that I didn't like. If you can do it try to trade or swap or borrow used off duty holster's from your co-worker's. I generally gave all of my used gear to the rookies or my recruits when they started to save them some money.

Just remember, save your receipts on whatever you end up purchasing. It's a tax write-off.

Thanks for the further Comp-tac suggestions. It's hard to resist all of the good press I see from them! Any suggestions on specific model? I primarily carry at about 1 o'clock, but might start carrying around 4 soon. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I use a Galco IWB deep cover. It hides my g26 well with summer clothes on.
Welcome to the board. What state are you from?

I live in Washington, near Seattle. I thought I changed my user CP to reflect this...? Maybe it will on a new post?

Good luck with the academy! Whatever you do hang in there. Don't let their head games get to ya. Just rember they break you down to try to get you to quit. Remember what you signed up for and stay focused. You'll be fine. Better invest in some good rain gear up there in Washington.
