I voted "other" There is no one answer, a guy shooting a semi auto will have different needs than a benchrest shooter.
A lever gun will have different needs than a bolt gun.
One thing to look for is a carbide expander button, Most of the more expensive dies will have one,
A micrometer adjustable seater die is nice if youre playing with the OAL or trying different bullets .
There are dies with carbide inserts for the neck part of the case that allow you to adjust for chamber size and brass thickness.

None of the above.
TG has some custom cut dies for his 300 Tommy, freakin' nice. I forget the details, but the sizing die was cut with the chamber reamer.

A custom cut tight-neck bench rest die will turn a semi-auto into a single shot real quick, whereas an undersized die for semi-auto work will suck for a benchrest gun. There are just too many variables for rifles that don't come up as much in pistols and revolvers.

Man, you guys are tough. I just voted Redding since most GPers wouldn't even consider buying custom-made dies.

Craig, when you're building up a custom 300 Tommy, another couple hundred for the dies is nothing.

Oh sure, and the number of people building up a custom 300 Tommy on GP is?

Come to think of it, only one.

Then would you not agree that the realm of possibilities that he would choose his dies from is slightly different than for vast majority of GPers?

I like Forster rifle dies. There was a local shop that sold Redding dies and I bought a couple and I want some more Redding dies but they quit carrying Redding dies for some reason.

I would have voted Forester if it was listed, so I ended up with "other".

Mostly consumer bankruptcies with a few other assorted cases tossed in (personal injury, contract breach, etc.). I picked BK since the cases are mostly short-term and so would ease my transition to patent law once I pass its separate bar exam.

Wow, that'd be really cool to do patents!!! My firm is a med-mal defense joint (nearly 100%). I'm amazed at how many lawyers in Tampa are starting to get into shooting sports... it's pretty cool.:)
