I actually have one of those. Biggest piece of crap I've ever had and I can't believe someone Duracoated it. The paint job is worth more than the gun is.

If I could pick up a Jennings for $50, I'd take it to the next gun buy back and get me $100 to use at the grocery store.

I don't get the camo paint scheme . Blends in with moldy bricks ? / if you throw it in an alley they cant find it ? / used to hunt zebras ?

Someone was talking about a Jennings on another board so I
looked on Gunbroker to see what people are paying .
If you got one sell it there .
They are going for unbelievable prices .

Open carry would be no problem if you're in your tiger stripe jungle camo.

If you can't see it, would it be open carry?

The one I have does have a rear sight but it is part of the gun, so there is no way it could be missing unless someone filed it off.........and trust me on this, you would not want to carry that gun with one in the chamber...Everytime you fire it you gotta have your thumb on the safety or else the recoil will cause the safety to come on....round nose only.

Never shot one. That has got to be an experience.

Pretty ugly, but not near as ugly as a Hi-Point carbine.

A couple of years ago my sister-in-law, who knows nothing about firearms, purchased a Jennings with the intentions of committing suicide. The plan fell apart because my wife stopped by to visit just before she was to pull the trigger. Long story short, the gun was given to me to be destroyed and my SIL is still alive and acting nutty.

I tried to fire the gun before destroying it but could never get it to work. And it was brand new and cost $150 out the door. So they are complete junk but great for staying alive.

Good thing she didn't have a credit card to put a good pistol on cuz she'd be a goner.

If she would get off her lazy butt and get a jobby-job she'd have the money to afford something good enough to work. But she chooses to lay around the house all day and mooch off her parents and complain about being depressed.

It would be different if she had no options.

You use the Thompson to destroy said Jennings?

I did as her father requested. Beat it silly with a hammer, destroyed any trace of serial numbers, then threw away a blob of metal that could never be mistaken as a gun. Not that a Jennings is often mistaken for one before being destroyed.
