Send 'em to me with an included sase. I have a sonic cleaner that will turn 'em bright pink in less than a minute.

I've heard of using a cement mixer for polishing ALOT of brass at once. Maybe it would work for bullets too. I'd think that you could just tumble the bullets with some polish for a while then throw in some old socks to the mix to soak up the polish and tarnish.

Well, that is if you have a spare plastic tubbed cement mixer lying around.

I saw this Alton Brown the other night where he claimed to use the washer and dryer on a big ol' mess of greens. I think maybe he's been around the Hollywood types too long.

You can pick up a cement mixer at Harbor Frieght for cheap. I have one, but a friend has been borrowing it for a while now.

Plastic would be the way to go - the noise from metal one would drive you nuts I reckon.

When cleaning up LARGE quanties of dirty brass (55 gallons and up) we mix 3-4 tablespoons of powdered citric acid with about 3 gallons of water, one tablespoon of soap, such as dishsoap, shampoo, etc. Put brass in, stir, let set for about 15 minutes, rinse, let dry in the sun. No reason this shouldn't work on jacketed projectiles.
Glad you found a place to roost, 'Slick. :grouphug:

I had some 223 tracers to clean up. I soaked them in Tide laundry soap and water mix over night and then tumbled them for half hour.

Not old enough yet to exploit for labor, but I am always forward looking.
