This wouldn't be a LE room without this thread. I carry a g19 primary, S&W 642.38 as a backup(sometimes a G26). We have a Rem 870 20" duck hunting model in the rack.
I havn't gone to the rifle school yet so nothing cool, yet.
EDIT Pics of muh backups/off duty

I carry a HK USP .40 loaded with 180gr. Golden Sabres. I'm an attention whore, so I got a two-tone.

I carry a G17 for duty and a G26 for a backup. I am issued a Bushmaster M4 A2 carbine. 870 is also in the trunk, but I grab the carbine 9 times out of 10.

At time of retirement I carried a S&W Model 4513TSW most of the time, since I worked plainclothes (45 ACP, 230 grain Ranger SXT). Uniform duty sidearm was a Beretta 96 (180 grain Ranger SXT). Current CCW varies, most often a CZ-75B in 40 S&W.
Long guns were Rem 870's with 16" barrels, and re-arsenaled M-16A1 models for patrol rifles.

So how do you decock? You thumb it? What was the reason for dispensing with the decocker?

It's DAO.
How come the hammer sticks out like that?

SIGs use a rebounding hammer, looks normal.
No bobbed hammer? I don't like.

I carry a G-35 with a issued AR and Rem 308 LTR and drive a low mileage 05 Tahoe 4X4 with a chip that limits me to 98 MPH. I'm tired of being last all the time.

98? how the hell are you supposed to go in pursuit at 120?

A lot of places don't allow high speed pursuit. Here in Reno, a certain section of highway is dead straight for seven miles and the speed limit is 70mph. This means that everyone starts at 80mph and goes up from there, but if you are clocked over 95mph then NHP isn't allowed to even pull out after you.

When i was on force i carrried my Glock 22. we had riot guns too but no use on PCP perps. now they carry MP5's and M4's as trunk guns. I worked with one deputy that carried a eight shot 357. he was a bad mofo

I don't know anymore, all those different versions out there. It's confusing. That gun with those grips feels good in the hand, though.

Good question.....I've hit the chip on a CV a bunch of times. Admin says I get the Tahoe. I do live in an area where a 4X4 just might come in pretty handy at times. What really PO's me is the Exploders hit the chip at 110. But I'm not trading for one of those. I can get to my 98 faster than a Exploder can get to it's 110. :sifone:

My dept issues the Glock 21.
Since the Glock 21 has the ergonomics of a 2x4, I choose to carry a P220 on duty.
Backup is a Keltec PF9.

From the LTR .308 in his vehicle, it looks like he is a finisher, not a pursuer.

Department issued HK USP .40 cal. BUG is a Keltec .32. Trunk has a Winchester Defender (I got kicked by my horse 15 years ago and the Defender reminds me that I made the right decision when I sold him.)
For two years I had an HK UMP .45 submachine and a Winchester M14. But I don't kick in doors anymore so they're reassigned.

I work inside the prison so I'm not issued anything but OC spray. But for those in the department that are issued weapons its Glock 22s or 23s, HK G36 rifles and Remington 870s. If you aren't issued a weapon when it comes time to requalify on them we use Glock 17s for the pistol, rifle and shotgun are the same.
