I think my next gun purchase will be a WWII Browning Hi-Power with the little german birds stamped on it. I'm indifferent, but the 1911s are really wanting one in the safe.

If anybody has a lead on a decent one please let me know.

Thanks.

Blueline--

It is good to know that I'm not the only one here whose guns talk to him when the safe is opened. Most of their requests are ridiculous, and they really mope and pout if not given frequent range time. It isn't always good to to EVERYTHING the little voices tell you.

SOG has one in their current flier, Blueline. All matching with correct magazine, original finish (thin), $975.

Use care with BHP and other firearms built in occupied countries with Nazi stamp's on them. I've handled a number of these and some were pretty nasty looking.

FWIW I have a few handguns that were carried on duty by others, used to protect the individual and carry a wealth of stories. I felt they'd earned an hornarable retirement but still take them out to fire from time to time.

I found a nice one today. It was originally brought back by Dick Winters of Band of Brothers fame. $12,500.

You buy it? 12.5k is peanuts for you. ;)

Dude, that would be sweet. Sell that ugly truck of yours and get it.

Watch it, Koski. I've riden shotgun in that "ugly truck" a few times. That hurts.

Stanky truck or not, I can't spend 12k on a pistol. It might be different if Elvis owned it, though.

I wish I had 12k... My truck would be paid off and I would 4k left over to go party with!

4k is a lot of hookers and blow.

Your lack of experience in hookers or blow is glaringly obvious with that statement.

Well, I guess if you're Elloit Spitzer it's under an hours worth.

Well, I guess if you're Elloit Spitzer it's under an hours worth.

Just another in the series of reasons that firearms hobbies are financially more sound than drug or sex addictions. When ya spend money on a pre-64 Winchester, ya own it--and can use it whenever ya want. If ya invest in nose candy or a flatbacker, all yer doing is renting--and the cost meter runs fast as h--l. Only full-auto firearms can even approach the operating costs of cocaine or sportin' ladies--and ya still own the platform after the ammo money is spent.

If Eliot Spitzer was a bolt rifle enthusiast, he'd be a lot less embarrassed right now.
