Saw tons of pics.
Notice a lot of tacticool .22LR rifles out this year.
Nothing that impressed me yet.

But, I haven't seen the Dillon BMG press up close an personal
Is it me, or are the mfr's running out of ideas ? Looks like the same old same old, with a couple of wrinkles. As nice as shooting rimfire is, I'm gonna stick with my 10/22 instead of going ninja with the whole thing.
Colt was supposed to release the Delta Elite last year, pics say they're gonna do it this year, what da hell they waitin on ? The stench of dealing with common civilians to wear off a little ?
Smith was supposed to offer a 657 this year too, not sure if that has come to pass or not.
So far, the little Ruger polymer revolver and the Dillon BMG look like they are the only thing worth lookin at.
I don't think I'm gonna be moved to go right out and drop $1200 for an Ed Brown now just because he changed the lettering on his guns. If that's all ya got to bring, save the gas an stay home.
And who really cares if they introduce 20 new .380's ?
How about a revolver with proper throats, a 1911 that'll feed for reasonable and somethin friggin revolutionary, like another plastic gun
Slick, Cimarron is showing a cool Uberti made repro of the Colt Burgess rifle. Here's a sneak look:

You're welcome. I'm with Freak in that everyone except Ruger is playing it safe. After hearing the economic news today hell there might not even be a SHOT Show next year!!
If anyone sees any photos of Lone Wolf's new aftermarket Glock frame PLEASE post them or at least a link. I think I've only stated about four times on GP how excited I am about it!!:o

Is da button on da grip there for a reason ?
Remember when Daffy Duck installed the Big Red Button in Elmer Fudd's house?
Just kiddin'. It's the integral button for the laser sight. I believe they're making them with & w/o.

S&W has new Classic Series Mod. 57.
Hands down, the Ruger LCR wins the top slot IMO for most novel concept.

The SIG-Sauer site got my attention with that 22 LR conversion for the P-220-series. THAT is how to do sub-caliber training, not some POS half-plastic unreliable disappointment named after an annoying insect. If ever a product name showed truth in advertising, SIG nailed the landing with that one.

You can buy the conversion or ~$300, or you can buy a whole P220R with the .22 conversion on a factory reconditioned frame for I think $400, and they give you a coupon for the .45ACP whole upper assembly for $300. That way you get a reconditioned P220 in both .22 and .45 for the price of one new P220. If my income tax it what it usually is I plan on picking up the .22 conversion for my P220.
I shot a SIG Mosquito once. It had a trigger like a Makarov. What a POS. :yuk:
Did you guys see the new SIG 238 .380? It's a Colt Mustang MK II. :rolleyes5:
Here's some great photos from the SIG Forum:

All them 22 rimfire stuff have got me a major itchin' to restore my 10/22 back to stock configuration. Sure would like a Sig 550 one of these days though.
Anybody got any experience or opinions on the AR piston thingy?

MSRP: $605.00
OUCH!!! :ow:
creophus
01-20-2009, 08:20 AM
That's actually not as bad as I'd expect the MSRP to be on that. Seriously though, you should shop around a bit more. I wouldn't spend that much on it.

Your silence speaks volumes. You need to have plausible deniability? I understand that.
I will assume that's why you haven't said anything about the Mossberg Lightning Bolt Action rifle that I posted for you a while ago. Lightning Bolt Action...that's got you written all over it.

For now it's avail. only in the G22 I believe.
Glock 22 is what the Rep told me at their display. I thought this was pretty cool with the scabbard for the tommy on it!
