I take two or three of these to the outdoor range to pick up not only my own brass, but all the other good brass that others left.
And there's a trap area off to the side of the rifle/pistol range. That's why I bring several, so I can also grab some Rem STS and Nitro27 hulls. They are sturdy enough to not droop under the weight of over 1000 rifle and pistol cases, and they make it a little easier to stoop and bend to pick stuff up and throw brass into them.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/nitesite9/brass_jug.jpg
These are a favorite of mine. They are stackable and hold a nice manageable amount of primed cases to bring to my reloading area.

Five gallons is too big for the boolits. I always end up overfilling and either hurt something or break a handle.
I prefer the smaller dishwashing detergent buckets.

This pic isn't 'zackly about reloading containers.
But since I almost pulled my 50-year old hamstring just to get the damn photo I had to post it here. I probably should have stretched first.....
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/nitesite9/wall_bins.jpg
These are the stackable wall bins that I use for items I can grab quickly at my bench. Got each row on clearance at Staples for one dollar each.
I keep about 1000 primers, gadgets, some dies I don't have mounted in turrets, a bullet puller, sizing lube and grease (in the film canisters), powder bushings for the MECs, batteries, etc in them...
I have many more thousands of primers and about 15-lbs of powder located elsewhere. Bullets, obviously, are on the floor not hanging on this wall. The things on this wall are just stuff I can quickly access within an arms reach.
Do you like the color of the wall? It's in my Reloading (wife calls it the Laundry) Room.

Let me be the first to say, damn you eat a lot of pretzels! Nice score on the .223. I am getting ready to try to work out a deal with the rangemaster of the PD range here cuz I know they throw away a LOT of brass since it supports three or four agencies by itself.

Texmati Rice plastic containers are really good for brass storage. They stack on their sides nicely, too.
Hub's Peanut tins are good containers to seal up lubed bullets.

One thing I've learned is that whatever improvised container you choose it's best to have a good supply of them. Otherwise you get stacking problems. Not to mention that it doesn't look as nice when the folks from Popular Reloading Bench come for the photo shoot...

For brass that have been tumbled and are waiting for the rotation to complete I store them in cleaned/dried one gallon milk jugs with the tops cut off.
The brass waiting their turn to be loaded are held in tupperware type containers.
I like to use those plastic jugs that fruit juice comes in. They are great for storing auto pistol brass.

I'm still partial to the hard plastic Kitty litter containers. Work well hinge lids for easy pouring into the tumbler, or the brass bin for loading. They stack easily and seem to better utilize my available space vs the 5 gal pails.
