Here's a re-do of a real basic Stevens I had...

This is the old, nasty basic brown paint-looking finish that was on it... and I found a pretty nice grain pattern under all that cheap coating (the forestock hadn't been sanded yet, but I suddenly remembered to grab the camera BEFORE I eliminated the "before" look!!!

This is just prior to my shipping it out to Colorado to have some laser engraving done to the wood while it was sanded down. DRATS!!! I forgot my computer doesn't have the "after" photos on it yet... I'll post those over the weekend, if I get a chance! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I have one of those Chicom 12 gs. SxS coach guns that has given good service for years. I had to have a buddy tighten up the joint a tad as I was getting some misfires, but hey, for $250 I wasn't expecting a Parker. I shoot roll crimped BP loads in mine & it's a hoot. "BOOOOOMMM!!!!" :yikes:
Of course, NOTHING is as intimidating as staring into TWO 12 ga. barrels at close range. "Yessir, I was just leaving!!" :biggrinjester:

There's just something about a double barrel.

Heavy dose of 3" 00 buck would be a handful in one a those.

I loaded up some once with 90 gr. FFg BP and 1 1/8 shot. :yikes: In that lil' coach gun it was like a howitzer!! Killed on both ends.

Do ya put your off hand on top of the barrel instead of under it so it doesn't hit you in the forehead?

Never seen a shotgun fired like that before. Seems like if you gotta do it that way, you aught not be firing it.

Great something to look forward to, since haven't shoot this yet. I have a load of s-perince with 458 Lott, so I should survive :)

My finished product pictures are burried in a bunch of photos from Creophus' wife's wedding shower my wife threw, so now I have to sort them out... I'll try to get them done tonight AFTER I figure out how to play with my new cellphone! (LG-Rhythm) :)
