View Full Version : Anyone ever place an order with PowderValley for an out-of-stock item?

I figured if components are going to go the way of AR parts- several months wait on back-orders and ridiculous price gouging, I decided to just throw down and jump in now. I placed an order with PV. All the powder was in stock but none of the wolf primers are. I'm hoping that my order doesn't get screwed up somehow, or that I don't get billed twice for hazmat because of split shipping the instock & out-of-stock items.

And damnit I'm impatient. I hate waiting. The uncertainty of this kind of market just eats at me!

If an item is out of stock they will call you to see how you want to proceed with the order. Just let em know to hold the order until the order is complete. If you want you could tell em to replace the primers with whatever brand becomes available first. About a year ago my wolf primers were replaced with winchester at my request. If I were you i'd take what you could get.

I'm damm glad I'm sitting on about 45k primers. I might go buy a .45 cause large pistol primer seem to still be available.

I've dealt with PV several times........good folks to deal with. They'll keep you posted, offer options, etc. Since it's primers....don't think swapping for another type would be any big deal IMHO

Ahh, well that's cool. I put a note in the comments section of the order to just hold it so it could ship complete. Glad I put it in then. No telling how long this is going to take.

WTF? This thread got me thinking I should make an order. Out of stock on what I wanted at:

Golden West
Conaveras
Wideners
Powder Valley

Good luck man, I hope you get what you're after soon. (but after me! ;))
