I was floored when I watched this brief melt video.

Another person who needs to be weeded out of the gene pool. Looks like it won't take him too long.

What the heck? What was the point? Not that everybody has a bunch of lead sitting around waiting to be melted so I doubt everyone's kids will try this but still...never underestimate the intellectual capacity of any individual that might watch your video, even with that, surely legally binding, disclaimer at the end...lol.

I saw a film years ago that had a guy run his finger through a flowing stream of molten lead. It's a neat trick, but hardly in the Darwin category.

No one can say that was a smart thing to do.

I don't know, was he wearing safety glasses?
I don't think I'll give that one a try. On the other hand, it took me about three months before I would touch the moving blade on a wet tile saw, even after I saw the gent I worked with do it many times.

I've got some gloves that I wear when I reach in the pot to pull out the turkey that's frying. Done it many times. Just make sure there isn't a hole in the glove. I fried 15 turkeys once and by the time I was pulling out the last few those gloves were very warm.

There was a purpose to what you were doing. This guy was doing it for grins.
Just because you can do something, doesn't make it a smart thing to do.

My phisics teacher did that in high school except he stuck his fingers completely to the bottom of the pot, about 3-4" deep. Demonstrating the layer of "protection" that you get from the boiling water on the surface of your hand.
He also laid on a bed of nails and put a corresponding board of nails on his chest, and then let another physics teacher smash a cinderblock with a sledge hammer on the top board.
That guy friggin' rocked. He blew up and shot stuff every other week to demonstrate a principle. We even fired lighter fuel powered tennis ball launchers outside. Most of the tennis balls went 150+ yards into a forest and were never found.

I had 3 turkey fryers going at a time. We were giving a samples of fried turkey at a local farmer's market. Fed a congress critter who came by and got interviewed on TV about 9/11. This was about 6 weeks afterwards.

OK, I don't get it...did he dip his hand in water? If so, why didn't that bring the tinsel fairy?
