My 2nd (or 3rd) Lee hand priming tool has crapped out and I am looking for something better. Does anybody have one of these?

I bought one years ago and still use it with a cheap Lee "C" press to prime experimental loads and single stage rifle loads. Works OK, but has the tacky plastic feed trough. If you like hand primers, try the RCBS model. Much stronger than the pot metal Lee.

Make sure you get the RCBS tray version. The APS version doesn't have the same leverage, and uses the APS strips.
I'm a hand primer myself, and my RCBS has tens of thousands of rounds without any sign of failure in the foreseeable future.

the RCBS tray version.
Do you have the one that takes shellholders or the universal one?

I use the shell holder version. For me it's ten times faster, than the spring deal.
The easiest way to put it, I hold the tool at about 90°. I hold the brass in place till the rod pushes the primer against the brass. I start grabbing for a another piece of brass while seating the primer. I release the grip and gravity causes the brass to fall into the bin, and I'm ready to slide a new case into the tool.
Doing this technique, I can knock out 100 rounds in about 3 minutes.
Does that make sense?
Anywho, the only mod I did to the tool was tap a screw behind to grip. This allows me to adjust the screw to prevent me from crushing the primer to much, and allows for just the right amount of leverage. I know - I took it to a science, but I've never had a dud do to pour primer installation. :)

My lee hand prime tool crapped out for the second time too. I went with the RCBS Auto prime tool. much safer too and uses standard shell holders

The lee tool was just too awkward for me, and my hand & finger joints aren't in the best shape anymore.
