There's an ad in a local paper selling a 1050. It's advertised as used very little and set-up to load .223, the price is $1,000.00. The price doesn't seem great, not bad though. The good thing is it would be a FTF, no shipping. I left a message on the guy's answering machine, no callback yet, price seem OK?

For a 1050 or Super 1050?
They currently run $1595.95 from Dillon, plus shipping. I'm $1475 shipped.
$500-600 is a bit of bullets you can buy to feed that sucker, or get the bullet feeder.
A thousand for either one looks good in my book. Getcha some.

The ad just says 1050, isn't the difference only in when it was made?

there is the rl 1050v and the super 1050, but that is a good deal for either. Nothing says "let them eat cake" like owning a 1050.

The older 1050 will do up to 223 length, the "Super" will do longer case's like 30/06.
The older ones are quite "desireable" to handgun shooters as many feel the older machines are smoother.
Dont know myself, either way if you didnt like it:rofl: You could probably re-sell it for more than that.
Also what he is "asking" and what he may take are not always equal:wink5:

BP, ANeat is the one to ask about the differences. He knows. I want to say it is something with priming system, but I can't remember what he said it was.
ETA: Ok, never mind. He just answered it.

I wish someone would photocrop a 1050 on the bumper of that pic. An LM would make it even more ironic.

BP, if you get the 1050 and trick it out for GAP, I'll fly to WA and buy you dinner.

BP would trick it out into a press that needed special dies and only loaded pistol.

Too late, the press was sold to the first guy that called. I spoke to the seller, he was actually pretty nice. He was the second owner and was selling it for what he had paid. The original owner estimated he had loaded between 17-18000 rounds and needed cash in a hurry.
I'm kinda surprised the press sold so quickly, this area has a lot of guys loading on Rockchuckers, I didn't think there were that many people that knew what a 1050 even was.

This place is a lot less informative without VR and Eric.
Hardehardeharharhar! Don't you mean "This place is less felonious without VR and Eric?"

Walter, I am confused? You saying that VR and Eri not up to par?

Don't know much about VR; consider Eric to be operating a felonious internet gambling operation, which he calls "fundraisers". Got no use for felons. In all the time that I posted on GT, I can't recall a single time that Eric posted anything of substance regarding firearms in general, but, most importantly, Glocks, specifically. In every other firearms forum in which I participate, the owner/administrator actually knows something about firearms and frequently joins in on discussions.
