I need several scopes of minimal quality for

a .177 air rifle
a henry .22lr lever rifle
a .22lr savage bolt rifle
a savage .22mag bolt rifle
a mossberg .17hmr bolt rifle

All of these have iron sights at the moment, but iron sights are hard for my old eyes to use.

So has anyone used this scope enough to break it, and did it take long to break?

PS. these scopes sell for $20 to $50. Simmons seems to call them part of their master series, which are made in china, of course.

I bought one about 4 years ago for my SKS. I gave up trying to get any accuracy, but it was more of a mounting issue than anything.
Ended up swapping it to my kids .22 and haven't had any problems except for the adjustment knob has some freespin before it adjusts and it doesn't seem to have all the adjustment it normally would. Pretty clear.
For the money I can't complain too much.

If that .177 air rifle is a spring-piston design, they can destroy a scope in short order. Get an airgun-specific scope with a GOOD warrantee--both to ensure durability, and to get parallax setting consistent with airgun ranging. Simmons and Tasco both have such items, at fairly good prices.

Check here.

simmonds doesn't optimize for eye relief, don't put one on any heavy recoiling rifle as you may end up with upside down smiley over eyebrow
