I may be getting a 9x25 bbl for the G20 slide I just ordered, I've been looking for ridiculous muzzle flash and this may be the autoloading cartridge that will singe my eyebrows the way I want. :treerat:

I've seen the thread at glocktalk, but there's not a wealth of data in there, at least not for any of the powders I have on hand. I've googled and not come up with much. Anyone know of a loading manual with data for this? My Lyman 48th doesn't have any.

If you get it please be certain to post your results.
I have been interested in one ever since I first read about it.

It's a wildcat. There is no published data. I'm working up some loads when my 1911 barrel comes in.

For the most part, load to mag length, which in a Glock is 1.285" and use 357SIG data and work up.

I bet you could get some starting loads from Dillon or Mike McNett.

I might be wrong and be thinking of some random internet page on the cartridge - but unless I'm mistaken, Lyman #48 has some data on this... i'll check when i get home in a couple hours.

Nope. They have 9x21, but no 9x25.

Same website, just over and over. Little bit of data, not much.

Who the hell loads that? I suppose it is commercialized unlike the 9x25, so they have data for it (but no 9x23 Win?).

Quickload has 9x25 Dillon parameters already loaded in the library.

I have a G20.
It's slide mass with any conventional recoil spring force could not handle the recoil from a hot loaded 9x19mm.

This is very analogous to 45 Win Mag in a 1911.
You don't need more case capacity than a 45acp to reach the recoil limit.

What does it all mean?
Dragster slicks on your mother's mini van will not make it accelerate any faster. Something else is the weak link.

What does all THAT mean?
Spend all the money you want on a 9x25mm, and my overloaded 9x19 will still beat it over the chronograph.
If you convert a 3 pound Desert Eagle .50AE Magnum to 9x25D and just keep working up hotter and loads, you may beat me before the slide slamming the frame hurts your hand too much.

Cool, I'll run some QL numbers later.

How fast is your hot loaded 9x19? :yikes:

For what its worht, Lyman Pistol and Revolver Reloading 2nd Ed has 9x25 data as well as the 8th Edition of Cartridges of the World.

I don't have access to either of those, but RCBS.Load shows them as having data.

I think I have one manual that has 9X25 data. (If I remember correctly it is Speer or Sierra)

Give me a half hour or so and I will check.

I stand corrected I could find no data in my manuals.

How fast is your hot loaded 9x19? :yikes:

The 380 is 8.5 gr Power Pistol 158 gr 1.090" , 4" barrel 1185 fps

The 9mm is 11 gr Power Pistol 158 gr 1.169", ? barrel, ? fps

What does it all mean?
I don't have the data.
It seem like every time I am about to get it, I shoot the chrono.
