When I am shooting 165 grain bullets at 1200 fps my follow-up shots take a little longer than 115 grain at 1050 fps.
Will this get better?
But seriously when shooting 10mm who needs follow-up shots. Heck, even if I you hit someone in the thumb it knock their whole arm off.
Or was it that if you get hit in the hand it knocks you down.

Practice more. Trigger time is all it takes. Shooting will get faster.

Like Slick asked, do you actually shoot 115s from a 10mm? I cannot imagine having enough bullet length to seat such a short bullet and keep any neck tension in the case. Who makes such a short/light .40 bullet?
Oh, I get it. You're comparing your 10mm recoil pulse to a 9mm 115-gr load at 1050. But HTH (how the hell) do you have 9mm ammo that only pushes a 9mm bullet at 1050?

I roll my own. I actually load my 9mm a little on the slow side because I am using wheel weight cast bullets and I trying to reduce the ammount of leading in the barrel. I do not know if it will work. I once read that a slower bullet will engage the rifleling and not strip lead.
Not sure if it is true. But that how I roll.

Pard,
If you can shoot 115-gr lead bullets that are accurate and don't lead your barrel and cycle your action, I'm totally behind you Bro!
If they are flat based bullets, you will help to minimize the leading. Choosing your powder will also help.
Anyhoo, if it's working for you I think I need to commisurate some with you.

Gokyo--
9mm cast bullets for me get sized @ .357" and are cast of 92/6/2 alloy, Javelina Alox lube. Lee 122 grain TC, 1200 FPS, zero leading in 3 different pistols. Size matters, and most 9mm barrels are oversized.

They come out of my mold just about 356. And my sizer is 356 so I am kind of stuck with the 356 size. But it is interesting to hear how little leading you have. How hard is your alloy?

Are you're worried about follow up shots in a gunfight? Seems like every shooting scene I've ever made when the first guy starts shooting EVERYONE just runs.
