Well, I'm a damn Kraut, so I'm making hassenpfeffer from some bunnies that ran into a few 10mm bullets last fall. Also having some pheasant that met some 20ga 1oz loads backed by Blue Dot.
Then just the usual corn, beans, peas, cornbread, muffins, and salad.

Todays meal was chopped smoked pork shoulder set upon an open face onion roll some rasin/pecan/pineapple cole slaw, ice cold Tecate beer with limon and sal. Dessert was a tres' leche cake.
Tomorrow (Easter) will be a spiral ham, baked potatoes, green bean cassarole, deviled eggs and corn bread. Desert is home made deep dish apple pie with vanilla ice cream. And Beer

I'm throwin down a leg-o-lamb, from lambs we could pet and feed in our own damn barn.
Load it up with a load of tomatos, peppers and onions, my own damn spice mix in an oven bag, when the afore mentioned stuff looks like salsa on the bottom of the bag, you're done. De-lic-ious!
Taters, check. Beans, check. Candied carrots, check. Homemade rolls, check. hand rolled cinnamon rolls...you damn skippy.
And the wife threw down on an apple spice cake with the walnut cream cheese icing.
Easter is not a good day to plan on losing weight.

Great dinner here. Although the in-laws and spousal unit aren't as enamored of country ham as I am.
The corn I used was a bag of corn I froze last summer. I tried something new, and sauteed the corn in butter until some of it caramelized to a nice light tan. Great flavor. This is easy to do. Heat up some butter in a stainless steel or cast iron skillet. Melt some butter, lard. or bacon grease until hot. Toss in the fresh corn, stir quickly to coat, cook for 3-4 minutes and the kernels lightly brown, repeat, and serve.
