5" Mostly cuz I love to shoot .45lc. But it will be easier getting in and out of tree stands with this than a shotgun.

Any of you guys have any heavy bullet loads for the 460 case? It kind if reminds me of the 444 I used to own. High pressure but only light bullets available over the counter.

We need more good 45lc double action wheelguns out there!

My current #1 .460 load is a 300 Grain Hornady XTP/MAG over 43.5 Gr of Lil'Gun. Out of the long pipe it's pushing a shade over 2050. recoil is... ummm... stiff, but you knew that already. And its LOUD!

next mostest favoritest load is a 395 Grain Gas checked cast performance again over Lil'Gun, this time more like 35 or so. Does about 1725 or so.

Don't know the exact energy numbers off hand, but I do know that they're both doing over 2600 FPE, and that should do anything short of a Brownie in with no sweat in North America.

I don't got a new fancy 460, just an old clunky 500. I'd sure like to shoot a 460 though. Congrats!

Yeah, and don't hold it in your crotch either.

Actually I was thinking of pairing it up with a 1" eye relief scope.
