I saw one today at the gun show for $299, and I think I could get it for $275 OTD. I passed because I really didn't need it.
Do y'all think I should be kicked?

My buddy Ric across the road picked up a S&W M65 for 350, and the guy he got it from had several Smiths with cosmetic issues, but good internals, at reasonable prices. So maybe we startin to turn the corner on prices.
Very little powder and no primers after the first half-hour. GA Arms was flat mobbed, but they had the best prices on loaded ammo. .357 - $17.50/50, where most was $25, pretty much the same for all cals - too much for CRBs.
And they was these two KNOCKOUT chics - a blond and a brunette, in them little black dresses - sellin raffle tickets to win guns. The blond was packin what looked like a Peacemaker. I always said whichever gun dealer put hot babes behind the counter was gonna make a killin. I doubt they's ever gonna be a drawin, so I didn't buy a ticket, but they was fine!

Well, they's droolin over fine and spendin money on fine. Remember, these the best lookin gals at a gunshow. Dat mean they fifteen deep in fools, so just gettin close enough ta buy dat ticket present a logistic problem.
And dat ticket probly $5, and I am a CRB first an foremost...

What kinda gun were they rafflin off ?I think a Glock and a AR.
I bought one once and what a total POS it was. Chambers all drilled offset and it SHEARED parts of bullet jackets off one side of the forcing cone AFTER a forcing cone chamfer!! I dumped that POS faster than a fat blind date. Like Slick says, PASS!!

I wouldn't look twice at Rossi anything when S&W M-65s can be had for $50-$75 more. Those cosmetically-challenged Smiths would be worth a trip back, to me. $350 for a M-65 in decent shape isn't bad at all, esp. if done FTF.

Around these parts there's more S&W revolvers for $300-350 than you can stand, since everyone is dumping wheel guns after the election.

It was through a dealer, but still decent deals (I've bought from him before). I have all the Smiths I can reasonably need (wife is watching as I type ;)). I was drawn to the Rossi because of its size - between a K & L frame. From what I'm hearing the little voice in my head was pretty smart this time.

I would rather carry a "Sherrif's Model" Colt revolver in .44 or .45 caliber than to have a Rossi or Taurus .44 Bulldog style DA revolver.
It will be of better quality and the single action function of the Colt is not much of a handicap for a "bellygun" class of sidearm.

You don't see Smiths around these parts for less than $425 for some reason, wish that trend would move south.
I bought a 3.5inch ported 357 Rossi about 5 years ago. Other than it knocking the hat off your head when firing, it was a nice little gun.
I swapped it and $100 for my Mini-14.

So Dan, where are "these parts?" There's nothing with an S&W logo that's cheap around here. I'm hoping to find a 4" N-Frame (44 mag, special, 41, or 45 colt) someday at a reasonable price.

PM and I hit the Northern Indiana Gun Collectors show in Nappanee a few weeks back, S&W 67s for $275-300, 66s for a few dollars more. I thought about picking up a 67, but Smith revolvers don't do much for me after getting on these Colts. There a Det. Spec sitting in a shop right now with a sticker of $395 right now too. Revolver and O/Us are plentiful in N. IN, forget trying to find a Glock or SIG for a good price though. I already have enough pistols though.
One thing I have noticed traveling the country is the prices are higher down south on firearms and related than up north. I've found some killer deals in MI, probably because it's an occupied state. IN too, stuff is more available in IN than GA per say. I went to a gun show with JJB right after the election, GA was much more expensive and harder to find stuff than IN.
