Is hard lube good lead flux?

So you've got your casting pot going and you see a few lead boogers in the pot. If you just threw in a lube/sized bullet to the pot would the lube flux out the junk?

Yes but its kind of a waste of a good lubed bullet. I use a hunk of Beeswax, candle wax, old bullet lube, wood chips/sawdust. Lots of good choices that work well.
