One of my sons and my daugther are starting to come with me to the range and I am instructing them in to shooting !
This is really great to have this fammily time at the range !
BUT, our ammo consumption has increased drasticaly of course !
And they are not yet intrested in reloading so I do the reloading and they just come and shoot the ammo away ...
Is that normal :( ?

It's a great thing to get them interested and safe with shooting.
Family was watching a show on TV Friday night and my daughter said "he's got a Glock 19 doesn't he". Never thought she'd be picking that detail out of mindless TV.
And she was right.

Try to get one of Lonnie's pups. They will help with your reloading chores.

Charly,
My daughter started shooting when she was almost 3, graduated to centerfire cartridges at about 12. She used to help by filling pickup tubes.
Now that she's 21 she just invites friends, and tells me"Dad, they REALLY want to shoot your machine guns!". Them I make load magazines.
Get used to it. Soon they will invite boyfriends and girlfriends.
I'll tel them to save the 1050 for you next year:yikes:

Here in Belgium youngers can start shooting only at the age of 16 (my daugther) and if they want to buy their own gun they must be 18 and up (my son #2). My eldest son, age 20, is studiying in UK (London) and he can't shoot at all there.
BTW, you know, I was already lurking at the 1050 but now that I have the 650 good in hand I really am not looking forward to a new challenge with the 1050.
And also my reloading set-up is builded around the 650, I am sure the 1050 will not fit.

Congragalation's brainwash them well. I did not have any pup's but when I met my secound wife she had a ten year old, first thing I did was put a gun in his hand and took the mystery out of them. Now he is 16 and has no intrest in firearm's, which is ok. He still knows how handle them and be safe around them.

My son shoots he's 22 and everytime I turn around he's into my ammo cans. I told him he needs to contribute to the cause and perhaps buy some parts/components or something. I try to stress the fact that there are no free rides here. So far I haven't seen anything from him, either in the form of a monetary donation, powder, bullets, or brass.
Kids, ya gotta love them.
