Ok, so the case tumbler broke. It is a Frankfort Arsenal polisher that took a turd on the reloading thing. It had the plastic base that the screw went into snap, and it wasn't even tight.
So, what is better built that I can put on a desk?

Any way you can fix it?

been thinking about that. Might have to go with a bit of epoxy or something and glue it all back together?
Other than that, I dunno...
The srew broke off from the base and took the plastic bracket at the bottom of the bowel with it.

My first tumbler was a something or other #500 from Dillon. It lasted a week.
I then said to myself, self, I've had it with cheap.
I was able to trade my broken 500 in and upgrade to a CV 2001. The big one. That sucka cleans brass fast, and in vast quantities.
I know I won't make CRB status for having shelled out that kinda dough, but I figure I make up for it in time saved.

I dunno....I have the CV 500 and love it. Its functional and very quiet. I read around GT and GP how noisy some of these units are but mine seems to barely make a sound (honest). Maybe because I don't try and clean so many at one time. I fill it up 3/4 full, add a couple of cap fulls of Nu-Finish and sometimes some cut up dryer cloth and sometimes some mineral spirits and they come up very shinny. The CV 2100 is probably the better way to go if you plan to tumble large quantities, however, I usually put 200-300 at a time in mine.

I have a really old vibra prime that I really like. If it ever goes down I will probably get another.

Frankfort Arsenal at Midway is a great deal. It's usually @$40.

I have one also. Light weight and quiet. It was $44 plus ship. They say it will hold 650 38 spcl cases.

I have two; the original Lyman "Turbo" tumbler, bought many years ago (I think it was one of the first vibratory tumblers) and a Frankford Arsenal tumbler. The Lyman just keeps on crankin', but I've had to repair the FA job twice, for the same reason. The electrical contacts underneath (you'll have to take off a metal plate with a few phillips screws) use spade lugs, which eventually break off, due to the vibration. I just strip another 1/2" of wire and crimp on a new lug, and it works for a few years. I suppose I'll run out of power cord eventually, and have to replace that......
