One gallon of Sweet Tea from Publix (if I'm lazy and in a hurry), since it is well filtered (not cloudy) and pretty darn sweet to start with...add one can of frozen Bacardi Mojoito mix to tea (cut back to a 1/2 gallon, if you really want intense pucker-factor to rise)...stir and serve over ice...frozen mix has all the lime and mint to make a really nice flavor.
If I have time, then I brew my own tea (mostly flavored teas from Celestial Seasons), add sugar to taste...sometimes add other things for funky flavors...tis the season for iced tea in Tampa right now!!! Fish are sweating!!!

If you really wanna get down on sweet tea, you'll get the large glass jar with the yellow lid. Fill that full of water, a bunch of sugar, and Lipton Tea. Take that jar and sit it in direct sunlight until everything turns a deep brown.
Pour that over some ice in a large glass. Listen to the ice crack and enjoy.

You got that right. Trying to sweeten tea when it's cold is frustrating at best.

That is the official Southern method.
I think I am the only person in the South that drinks unsweet tea. I like sweet tea but I cannot drink more than one glass. I can consume gallons of unsweet tea.

I like mine unleaded. Try being a yankee down south asking for unsweetened iced tea, talk about dirty looks. Almost every time I order, it still comes sweetened. Might as well drink coke. You cannot even taste the tea with all that sugar. I bet you guys could not tell the difference between water with sugar and sweet tea.

Unsweet tea is an abomination. If the calories are a problem, just drink water it tastes better.

Sweet Tea
The secret is using sugar syrup try it once and you'll see what I mean
2 cups water, 4 cups sugar, sauce pan, stove top...
Add water and sugar heat to sauce pan slowly heat and stir into liquid. Let cool store syrup in a jar.
Brew your tea the way you like it. Make a pictcher add syrup to your taste throw in a couple of mint leaves, cinnamon sticks etc etc.

Tea :yuk:
I guess it is an acquired taste. I never even tried it till I moved from the northeast to Oklahoma in the early 80's. I still give it a try about once per year, just can't do it.
Never tried eazy's recipe though. That might change my mind.
Lemonade, that's where it's at.
