During the move I scored a FREE desk from a buddy of mine. There's my reloading bench,so now I don't have to build one. Got my area cleared away in my garage. Next day or so gonna unpack that new Dillon 550 I got and start setting it up......got everything else together, just gotta get some powder and primers and I'll be set....Life is good. Gotta admit you guys off of GTR are what got me motivated enough to start reloading. Since I been around you guys I've turned into a brass and lead whore. Going to the scrap yards and tire shops with my bucket out, getting to the range to scrounge brass, talking ebonics, engaging in forum wars and getting banned, stalking Koski, and drinking blue kool-aid. Let's just see where this goes... I don't know if this a omen or not but in the garage of the new house I found 3 15 pound lead ingots in a storage room. Previous owner musta been into casting. ...............

Glad you are getting settled in! I hate moving!
The only possible issue with using a desk for a reloading bench is the height. Assuming you are going to operate it sitting, you might want the strong mount to raise the machine up so you aren't hunched over it. 550 mount raises the machine about 8 3/4".:blues:

Rock on! I load on a free desk also. Strong mount is a good thing!

Oh I got the strong mount already, the 550 I got has ALL THE GOODIES . Alum roller handle, strong mount, low powder, bullet tray...I guess everything but the casefeeder, but I gots a right handed one of those...........We just moved in last week and are getting settled. I love my new house, IT's HUGE.....Or at least bigger than what I'm used to. I'll get the 550 set up first then play around with chairs until I find the right height I like........
