Anything special about reloading for sub guns? I will have my RRA 9mm M4 together by the end of this month, and I was just curious if there are any precautions or things to pay attention to when reloading for a sub gun versus a pistol.

Thanks!

Did you get a DIAS for the RRA?

M-4 is an easier SMG to load for than the open-bolt guns, in that the open bolt guns require a hot enough load to cycle the bolt back far enough for the sear to catch it and hold it back. Since the M-4 is closed bolt, you just need a load that cycles. Lots of times I've let folks shoot their 9mm ammo in my Sten, only to have the gun "run away", that is the bolt cycles enough to eject the fired case and pick up and feed the next round, but not enough oomph for the bolt to travel back far enough to reach the sear. In that case you just keep it pointed downrange and wait for the magazine to run dry

no, its box stock semi auto. I actually built it on a panther stripped lower with the RRA 9mm innards and conversion kit, and the 16" RRA 9mm upper.

Oh, when you said subgun, I though you had a select fire unit.

I suppose 9mm carbine would be more correct

anything i load for 9mm glock works fine in semi Uzi, just add 225-250 fps.

I like heavier bullets vs lighter in the carbine, just feels and shoots "better"

My G22 with a conversion 9mm barrel already requires fairly hot-loaded cartridges or heavy bullets to cycle properly, so this should work out great!

Tag. Hopefully someone will post some loads that run well in an M11/9.

like mogo said don't load poofter loads for it less you want a true bullet hose

Check relaoding forum on uzitalk there have been some threads.

If captain Toyota can chime in he's been doing it for some time now.
